Tyron Smith becoming unserviceable

Tyron has missed a few games but Tyler and Zack have each missed at least one game themselves.

Tyron has played at a higher level than any of our other linemen, Tyler and Zack included.

We have bigger problems than Tyron Smith.

Problem is, they did NOT adequately plan for a backup……Ball and Waletzko lol, don’t really give Richard’s playing time, leave Udoga out there to ignore edge rushers like they weren’t freakin there. Awful.

Edoka had a bad game, but has played well throughout the yr in spot starter duty. Anyone replacing Tyron, there will be a steep drop off

He's really good when he plays

Everyone agrees, but at this point, it is getting out of hand. He only played in 2 games in 2020, 11 in 2021, 4 in 2022, and 11 this year. It's time to move on.

The Tyron argument is such a tricky one with a simple solution. Guy is basically playing at an All Pro level this year but at the same time you don't know week to week if he will be available. To me the solution was pretty easy. Grab/Draft a better backup. Let Tyron do his thing when he can (personally I'm surprised he has played as many games as he has this year) and put in the backup when he can't. It's an obvious solution and has been for half a decade. When you are the Cowboys and you KNOW you will need the backup for a handful of games you need to do a better job than the average team who thinks they may need a backup at some point. But if you look at how we handled LB as well you know this team just doesn't get the idea of roster management.

In the beginning of the season he did ok, I have no idea how he played so bad, literally let the DE go free several times smh.

Lots of teams have to go a game or two without their starting LT. It is best to plan for that and have an adequate backup. IN the past the Cowboys have had guys who are better than Edoga who can;t seem to remember who his blocking assignment is. Plus, Edoga gets hurt more than Tyron.
