Uh, could it be that’s where he’s been practicing since camp?I'm not sure why they are insisting Tyler stay at LG, it's quite odd after he played so well last year there.

About as reliable as you can getWhere you read that…reliable source?
About as reliable as you can get
He practiced at guard last year in TC only to be switched to LT ~two weeks before the regular season.Uh, could it be that’s where he’s been practicing since camp?
That’s a pretty impressive dumpNot on the field could be anything… he could have been taking a dump. Regardless it’s a far cry from farthest away?
Two weeks is longer than a day last I checked! He practiced at guard last year in TC only to be switched to LT ~two weeks before the regular season.
So, it' not like he wasn't asked to change on the fly before. His rookie year no less.
Two weeks is longer than a day last I checked!
Flipping people back and forth is never ideal. The only reason they should consider moving him back to tackle is it’s going to be for a substantial amount of time and definitely not after haven’t practiced all through camp and in his first game after returning from injury. Get over the erroneous delusional belief you actually know more than actual professional coaches!Ok, I'm glad you know that.
Ty;er Smith showed last year that he could transition quickly to LT after training at LG all of training camp.
Tyler Smith played 16 games at left tackle last regular season until Biadasz missed week 17 and he was moved inside.
He then started two playoff games at LT.
Him being asked to move back to Left Tackle, even after practicing at guard this offseason, shouldn't be a hard request for him to get back to play Tackle.
So if Tyron could miss another week, IMO it wouldn't be the worst thing to get Tyler back to Left Tackle as that may be his future position here as soon as 2024.
Who said I know more than a professional coach?Flipping people back and forth is never ideal. With one day of practice?Who said I know more than a professional coach?
-I posted that Tyler Smith learned last year quickly adapted to LT after training at LG, so he has shown he can switch to LT if needed
-You let me know two weeks is more than 1 day.
-I added to my first statement that Tyler started 18 games at LT last year, so if Tyron were to miss another game, it wouldn't be the worst thing to get Tyler some LT snaps as he's probably the future at LT.
-I'm delusional because I think know more than the coaches apparently, for expanding on my opinion of moving Tyler to LT if Tyron were to miss more time.
Obviously flipping players back and forth isn't ideal, but I would be willing to bet, OH NO DELUSION AGAIN, that Tyler at LT and Bass at LG is a better use of talent than Edoga at LT and Smith at LG.
Is strength improving at all? Think the starters being brought along won't really show up efficiently strong to have a respectable entrance into the playoffs?Sure, offensive line depth doesn't matter at all. We're fine. That's what I was told by many people in the offseason in the Zone.
At this point in careers, if they have to do a lot of work on either technique or knowledge...hell, drop them now! With one day of practice?
Let’s not forget he gave up 6 sacks and around 12 penalties last season. He didn’t completely **** the bed as many were expecting last season but those aren’t exactly good numbers. Cross had almost identical stats and there was grumbling of him being a bust. Frankly, I’m just not taking a chance of an injury with a guy we just got back because his footwork is off since he hasn’t practiced the position, especially not for one game!
Lol!At this point in careers, if they have to do a lot of work on either technique or knowledge...hell, drop them now!
Difference in practicing a skill and establishing one. If an argument is just wanted...hell, go ahead and start one!Lol!
So all the time working on technique and footwork is all for fun?
Hell, why even have practice at all. Just show up on Sunday and play!
Who’s arguing? Proving a voice of reason… a much needed one apparently!Difference in practicing a skill and establishing one. If an argument is just wanted...hell, go ahead and start one!
Agree about Edogo:Tyler Smith needs to be at LT if Tyron can’t go. Smith - Edoga - Hoffman - Bass - Steele should be able to hold up fine.
Edoga was getting absolutely eaten up at LT and is much better at guard. Bass honestly was getting his butt kicked all day but we will have to love with it.
