If this team doesn't make an honest effort to acquire a serviceable G or OT at the trade deadline, I have to assume they aren't serious about winning football games this year.

Like I said before the season, Tyler should have been the left tackle and Tyron the swing tackle, he CAN'T ever stay healthy...so I guess this organization will once again place the square peg Edoga, who's a guard in a round hole once AGAIN at left tackle!!!

So my over under on Tyron was 5 games. I was wrong its 3. On another note did he do this in the jets game? or was it in camp and real football has made it worse?

I think at this point you declare Tyron your swing tackle, move Tyler to LT and play either Chuma or Bass at LG

I said that before the season. It sounds crazy but he can't stay healthy and would be great in the swing role. You have to build some stability on the line and can do that with Tyler and Steele.

Maybe so with Judon mostly on the right side (vs Steele) but If its Belichek, I would not be surprised if he schemes the defense vs offense's biggest holes and weak points - I'd think he'd be clever enuff to move around and pit his best pass rusher vs our weakest OL link.

Plus also, Josh Uche had like 10 or 11 sacks last year, we'll need to fair well against him as well.
Agreed. Uche is no slouch. His QB pressure numbers are very good.

Is anyone else finding this odd? Basically he was fine until a walkthrough practice… so exactly what happened. With all the media twitters constantly posting you would think one would have asked what was going on by now. Injury without an injury!

Just get a guy in here who is capable of being on the field. At this point, I don’t even care if the talent and production is below Smith’s level; availability and continuity is huge on the OL and Glass Man Smith makes it impossible to have either of those on this team.

Tyron Smith was my favorite Cowboys player between 2011-17. He’s an incredible talent.

But my fellow Cowboys fans…Tyron Smith has lost his most important ability years ago: AVAILABILITY.
When a great player is no longer reliably available, he is no longer great. Been saying for a year - We need to recognize that Tyron Smith‘s constant injuries overshadow his value.

Perfectly predictable for every football fan/observer on the planet.

Too bad the GM can't get this through his head. Planning on him to be a starter is sheer lunacy.

This guy just handcuffs the team.

Time to make him the swing and start Tyler Smith at LT for the rest of the season. Give Edoga guard and let these guys get consistency/familiarity up front.

Stop the musical chairs

He’s got one of those contracts where he can choose when he wants to play!

Death, taxes, a Tyron Smith lingering issue.

It's always a different part of his body too. Hasn't played a full season in getting close to a decade but Jerry still sells the hopium to every addict that follows this team.

What's the current Vegas line on over/under number of games Tyron plays now?
