Tyron Smith thanks Dak Prescott for being his QB1 and a friend

that's a really weird and kinda said position to hold.
I’m honestly confused by it lol. I didn’t think he said anything too crazy. It doesn’t make Dak a great qb or anything. It seemed like a bond there which is a bond he has with a lot of people throughout the years.

People don’t remember now but I remember the Giant game after his injury. I remember seeing how emotional people were including Garrett who at the time was coaching the Giants. He played with Dak for a long time I’m not sure why people think they can’t be friends lol.

You mean sad i guess.

Well you are right. The system is bad. And it kind of would be sad to live in that kind of system. One of the reasons i dont live there but somewhere else.

Such systems change people. And not to the better of them. Whats even more problematic is that people that live under the influence of those systems lose the sense of the problem. You cant argue with them anymore because they lack the experience and knowledge but they are convinced that the way their system is doing it is the right way. Lack of education takes its toll also.

Just look at the people here and how they defend players that try to quench out the last penny of contracts regardless of consequences. The mob fights the mob over stuff that supports only the elite and makes them suffer. It would be ridiculous if it werent so tragic. A-social systems creates a-social people. And the uneducated mob applaus to it.

yeah sad. and i have no idea what you're talking about as far as "the system". or why you're calling tyron media. just strange. but knock yourself out.

can't answer for him, but for me a gut feeling based on the perception of a lot of bozo's here. they either don't carry themselves the way i'd expect noble professions to, or don't loudly proclaim it like a certain former soldier who couldn't help but interject it into every conversation.
I understand what you are saying. My counter point would be, focusing on the few bozos that fit that description is an agenda driven attempt at deflecting from a very valid point.

There are going to be bozos in every crowd. They are most often going to be the loudest and most opinionated. You won't even know the truly selfless and courageous are there, until you need them.

tmc stated he would be shocked that "these individuals" would have the courage and selflessness to even be firefighters, police or surgeons. He would be "very shocked" in fact.

The "these individuals" he referenced are, as stated by the poster he was replying to, "the fans here".

tmc would be shocked that any of the fans here were capable of being selfless or courageous, or capable of choosing to be a firefighter, a policeperson or a surgeon. Very shocked.

Screams projection to me. Which was the underlying point of my response to him.

You answered it perfect. Not sure why he got confused…..

Im lost there too. Not sure what he’s eluding to. I kind of thought maybe it was his salary but then he started talking about the system…..

Ain't no spin like virtue signaling spin. Some of these folks have an untapped career in the media they imitate.
While your point is taken, how is your comment here not virtue signaling in it's own right?

There is two sides to that coin.

Why should i knock myself out?

You offend me for things you dont even understand? How about asking a question to better understand before you judge?

Well your way is exactly what my post is about.

It goes without saying who those guys are. They’ve shown what they are. No need to beat a dead horse. And you one they are because a lot of them you agree with and like the content they spew.

That's not even close to what he said or what he meant. At no point did he belittle any of those professions you named. He simply said to all of those making fun of Tyron's statements, or making light of his accomplishments, let's see how you've done or what you've achieved in your chosen profession. But, by all means, take it and spin it anyway you like. It seems to be what many posters here do best.
He knows what he meant some of these people like to be obtuse when it comes to matters like this.

Maybe you forgot what you asked me….

You asked me why would I be shocked and I answered you. If you didn’t like the answer I don’t know what to tell you. You seem to be confused somehow.
lol

You are terrible at reading between the lines and picking things out of the context.

What I did was call you out for your obvious projection. The concept of selflessness and courage is clearly unknown to you so you can't comprehend how it can be possible in others.

You wrote off the entirety of the "fans here" as being incapable of either quality, then when called out on it invoked one single unprovable claim and one single member who doesn't even post here at this time as your defense.

Here's another carrot. You must be hungry.

This is one of the ways you rabbit hole conversations.

You responded to a comment about "fans here", which means the entirety of the membership, with a reference to a very small subset of the membership. You then double down on that by further limiting to one single fan and one single unprovable claim.

I'm out of carrots. How about some lettuce?

yeah i get it. and agree a bit. but clearly he was talking about the loud minority. the ones making the silly / hateful comments. i'm sure there are plenty of awesome people here, and already know some hold important jobs from times they've chimed in with pertinent and useful first hand information. it's the people being directly spoken to, that are being talked about. but i already hate that a Tyron retirement post has devolved this far.

I named Pappy because I was trying to be nice, avoid this exchange, and contribute to your derailment of the thread. But in case you were curious, you’re also one of those members. The courage you display comes only from posting anonymously—even now. Two people have tried to help you understand, and yet you remain defiant, unable to admit fault. I suppose you’re embarrassed, so you rely on your “rabbit hole” excuse as a way to deflect.

I'm not sure it was as clear as that. His comment left it entirely open to interpretation. I would add that, even if he did mean only the loud minority, what does that have to do with the comment he was responding to, as that comment clearly included the entire membership to be drawn from?

Apple to oranges.

You’re attempting to derail the thread which is fine I just don’t get why. Is it because you think it’s a Dak positive thread or because you want to be the voice of the “fans here”?

yeah. i'm assuming, which isn't particularly helpful or worth arguing over. just my interpretation. but the context is this thread, this convo, and shabazz extrapolating it when it was pretty obviously about a specific subsect. shabazz is a pot stirrer and likes to make absurd strawman posts to invoke just this kind of subsequent fall out.

i'll leave you two to it. i shouldn't have chimed in anyway lol
