Twitter: Tyron Smith Update?

How long would it take Tyler to learn pro style LG, sync and gel with the others? Not saying it's the best move.

If there's a lean toward that scenario according to Stephen, then really, this should be discussed.

Think FO, think.

If this guy is able to show the necessary level of health and ability in practice they should start him. We know this guy can play. Until he gets hurt again he's the best tackle on the team and one of the best in the league. I would hold him out until the last two games of the season and let him use those games to get his legs back under him for the playoffs.

....yep, DONT forget PETERS. He's huge positive chasm when out there.

Other than injury. He’s still one of the best LT in the game. I see no reason not to put him at LT and the rookie at LG. The good news is that Smith is now experienced at LT and looks like the future at that spot…
Quite honestly, Tyron is no longer anywhere near as dominant as he used to be. In fact he is nowhere near the top of the left tackle heap. He’s a good, serviceable (possibly even above average) LT but that’s all.

I would hold Tyron out u tip the last couple of games as well to have him ready for the playoff run. But with all due respect you are over estimating Tyron’s current ability. I would probably kick Tyron inside where his dropoff in mobility isn’t so much of a liability. He was getting beat on the edge before his injury.

Am I the only one concerned that Tyron tore his hamstring off the bone and hurt his knee in a glorified walk through.

So, if the line is really performing do you really mess with the chemistry? I get the "appeal" of what a healthy Tyron could bring to the table.... but I'm skeptical at this point in his career.

I mean the perfect scenario would be he subs in when we have large leads and you get a chance to get him up to speed & see where he really is rather than just shuffle the lineup just because.

I get that he is a decorated player and due a lot of respect but I've got to see him look like his dominant self rather than the shell we saw the last few times he took the field.
Sounds like a plan.

Lol, no that's not all. He's still top tier when healthy--allowing some of the least pressure in the league.

he does typically have a few bad games coming back from injury until he gets his under his feet, so I'm curious how you work him back into the line up.

No, he just has issues staying healthy. When he's close to 100%, he's still at the top of the totem pole.

If Tyron is healthy and ready to go— that is absolutely huge for the stretch run.
The projecting offensive line could well domiate a game with the current Eagles.

With some turn-over success and the Cowboys could get real hard to beat...very quickly.

Not before Pollard fell on his leg and rendered him one-legged. Before that he was killin fools.. and he rushed himself back from that injury twice and was never anywhere near top form for most of the second half of the season. I think a healthy Tyron is the best in the business.. but of late he simply hasn't been healthy enough. But if we have a chance to get that guy for a 5-6 game stretch.. two to end the regular season and then the playoffs I'm taking that chance every time. But again, he has to show it in practice or it's no dice.

I still doubt he’s coming back. If he does he probably gets hurt again. If I had to predict, predict he comes back for the final game of the season

..lets just say, Tyron will be available right when end stretch gets hot.
