Tyron Smith

The Seahawks had Dak's cadence down and were getting off the ball quicker than the Ts. Not that coaching or QB play would be able to counteract that stuff.

Good point.. didn’t think about that...

He's the oldest 27 year old I have ever seen.

It’s not so much age...I’ve seen plenty of o-linemen play at a high level into their mid 30s. Jason Peters turns 37 in January and is still a force.

If it’s his back, then that’s a shame...could drastically change how productive he is going forward. Back problems typically linger

Well.. Im not guessing.. Ive been watching the all 22 and I see him whiffing on blocks and going to the wrong spot.

I haven't seen game 3 but this was the case the first 2 weeks.

Uh-huh, and you're 100% certain beyond any doubt whatsoever that it wasn't a result of anything physical that limited or affected his movement, eh? Amazing! You must be the All 22 Wizard, no doubt!

unless youve had real back injuires/issues you will NEVER understand..the thing is they dont ever go away, you just manage them.. so we're talking about a guy who has to move feet quickly and hold off big speedy strong men on back to back to back plays for 3 hours.whatever we get from him from here on is gravy. that back will bother him the rest of his career and after.

I wonder how much he puts into his craft..

I know the mothership with all the writers always talk about him being chiseled but i wonder how much he puts into strengthen his core.... its just too crazy for him to have hit the skids so quick and early

By your standards I guess I am.

The guy is only 27. If Dallas was smart (and they aren't) they would let him get whatever surgery he needs and give him a full year to recover. Then maybe he can resume being the dominant player he was.......... Tyron should have a good 5 years left in the tank.

He’s had a handful of bad snaps that people will hold on to, but overall “horrid” is a gross overstatement.

I also don’t see Tyron of old, but we are really talking about a guy going from superhuman to regular human. He’s still has a giant wingspan and is by no means slow. Just needs to shore up technique, unless there’s a hidden injury I’m not worried.

I seriously encourage this board to watch the rest of the nfl. You will see teams with similar, if not worse, o line issues as ours moving the ball down the field at a much higher rate. Theres a much bigger issue going on than the offensive line.

I was told to shut up about any concerns regarding Smith in the offseason.

He has been pretty horrid this year. What's his deal? Is it:

1.) Nagging injuries?
2.) Complacency?
3.) Lack of motivation from the coaches?
4.) Declining skills?

They say the new OL coach has requested them to change their technique(s). Maybe that is an issue.

I totall agree. While all the OL can play better, Tyron has been far from horrid.

He's called the best lt in football for the past 3 years he hasn't been. Seems to have gotten worse each year to and the trend has continued to this point.

He looks stiff which is not good if you're a LT... I do not like what I see from him.
