is it knee jerk to question the escobar pick? there were dlinemen there. we all agreed heading into the draft that we needed to draft on both sides of the trenches. they only got one player.

Nope. I agree with you there because I had D-Line as our second biggest need behind O-line. I'd have been perfectly fine if the draft had been almost entirely O-line and D-line.

I hate to lose this guy already. I was looking forward to seeing what he could do. I'm just hoping this isn't a sign of another season long issue with injuries plaguing the hell out of this team, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

I always look forward to training camp cause its the start of football coming up but I also always come into it absolutely dreading it because of stuff just like this. A season ending injury when we haven't even played a meaningful minute of the 2013 season yet.

It is said Will Smith might be released by the Saints also Vinny Curry has been speculated for months as a possible cut by the Eagles in their transition for 3-4.

Curry is a young player i think the boys can develop! Will Smith can also contribute! I hope the coaches have a good back up plan in place though!

I'd be happy if we can get a veteran situational pass rusher out of this. Someone like John Abraham or Will Smith. We saw how good the Giants were with a slew of rushers. We have two in Ware and Spencer. Not sure how Wilber will be. Crawford was more of a big DE/DT anyway. I'd love Abraham. He's still one of the best at getting to the QB.

One or both of Richard Seymour and John Abraham would be a real shot in the arm right about now. With Spencer and Crawford hurt LDE went from solid if not strong to non-existent.

I would be thrilled if they let Curry go and Dallas picked him up. I really liked him in last year's draft, but he wouldn't be a good fit for a 34 defense, so I knew we wouldn't pick him. However, he'd fit in great on Kiffin's defense, and I'd love for a chance to add him.
