Might not have missed many games but he played with a lot of ailing injuries. He played a lot while being injured. Which really wasnt any different from his play when he was healthy so maybe they just made it up so he didnt look as bad.
You sure are reaching now.......just take the L

You gotta take a stand......can't just drive by graffiti the board with Stars and numbers
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

I think it's his contract that causes a lot of fans to sour on him. He is slightly overpaid, imo, but it isn't his fault. Solid player. They might've messed with his confidence by moving him around a lot when he first was breaking into the league, too. Like we are doing now with MCollins
:hammer: Pretty much this.

Average isn't the right way to look at it because the top guys are paid so much and the rookie guys are paid so much less. Dallas could conceivably have DLaw and Tapper at the DE positions with one making $17,100,00 and the other makinng $785,000. The average of the two is 8MM, but it doesn't tell you much.
My original post was more a general statement, not to be taken exactly literally, saying that many thought he was overpaid and that’s why he receives criticism.

But you’re right

Agree he is overpaid but its not by a huge amount. Jerry is loyal to a fault and Crawford's contract is Exhibit A of the fault portion of that. The downside is that he will jump the gun on signing guys like Crawford and Miles Austin but the upside is that Dallas doesn't have guys leave in free agency to succeed elsewhere.

I’m confused. This list says he’s the 9th highest paid D End? I was told he wasn’t in the top 50.

That seems way above the average.

The list above says he makes 9mil and it ranks him 9th.
Doesn’t that place him in the top 50?

I trust your research, you’re normally spot on and I appreciate it, I’m just confused about the discrepancies.

In no way does this guy deserve near the hate that he receives. What should have done? Turn down the money, say NO...THATS TOO MUCH! Would you have? LOL

He is what he is,.... a good solid player who impacts a lot of plays. He may never be a pro bowl type player but HE IS a guy that is unselfish and goes about his job in a workmanlike manner. He is a guy that might not make the play, but due to his actions he influences A LOT of plays that others clean up. Kind of guy that will be sorely missed when he is gone. Asked to play multiple positions and does so without complaint. Very versatile. Soooo, Hate away..... but in the end we are very lucky to have him as a Cowboy.
Flashbacks on Romo? Oh wait....

First his AAY is 7.6m not 9m........he signed a 6/45.6m deal.....his Signing Bonus was applied to 2015

Second he signed as a 3-4 DE and plays 4-3 DT and 4-3 DE as well

That is why I said he has the 50th highest paid DL because that is what he is when you count Interior DL and Edge Rushers

Not mad at him, just feel he doesn’t earn that money. Not for lack of effort but he doesn’t dictate to teams what a dominant and well-paid DT should be able to.
