On the win:

"This loss would have torn us apart. We definitely needed this. It would have really torn us apart as a team, mentally. Good thing we got this and now we can kind of relax. Now we can move on to the next game this week."

This dude is weak. Lawrence and Gregory must save us this year.

Not sure where he ranks amongst worst contracts Jerry has handed out but he has to be near the top

I don't think it's a sign of mental weakness to start wondering why you keep losing close games and eventually lose confidence. We were historically bad last year in close games. I'd imagine two close losses this year to start out would have been just enough to get everyone thinking "Here we go again."

I was fine with his comment up to the relax part. Unless he meant relax as in finger pointing and not as relaxing as taking the next game not as seriously.

Players probably not believing in the process after they play as hard as they can and we still lose.

Good thing we won.. We can always depend on Washington to get us back on the right track. I wish we played the 16 times a year.

Why would this lose torn them apart? Still haven't let last year go? That's very alarming. Kind of relax? Bro, Romo ain't back and Romo can't save u when he is.... you need to be looking within for a savior.

If this is a true example of where the team is mentally.... they're as soft as baby poo

I think we sometimes read too much into every word an athlete says and need to look more at the context. Frankly I took it as anxiety was high goimg into this game and we can rest easier tonight knowing we won and wont start the season in a hole.

This is what I said before the game if we lost...

A team cannot continue to lose for two straight seasons without this powder keg exploding.
There's a lot of built up frustration right now in that locker room because of all the losing from 2015, players letting down their teammates with suspensions, the injuries to Romo, and T-Will's week 1 mistake.

I don't care how much of a player's coach Jason is, the powder keg will blow if we keep losing this year. You don't lose for two straight years in the NFL without some dysfunction seeping into the locker room.

H-m-m, I imagine it was pretty tough seeing all the bad things happening in the offseason with the suspensions, injuries and all. Actually, he was probably just being up front about how the team felt collectively. Not too hard to see how a low morale might come about, considering they lost Romo as one of the bad omens that struck very early on. Seeing the defense get compromised with the losses of Gregory and Lawrence had to hurt considerably as well. No big mystery there.

With that win in DC, they learned more about what they've got in Prescott and that they can win on the road against a somewhat challenging opponent that won the Eastern Division last year. It likely bodes well to them for the future and knowing that Prescott should only improve with further development. It should offer them an extremely welcomed boost that came in timely fashion.

Let's be honest can you blame him for feeling that way? You believe in the process, you work hard and the results are not showing up on the field. Naturally you will start to point fingers and ask WTH is going on?

I don't find anything alarming about what he said, if anything I found it eye opening that there is some stuff going on behind the scenes to make him feel that way. It's obvious others feel the same as I'm sure teammates talk all the time. I took the word "relax" as in that maybe they will stop trying to press and play perfect after finally getting a W.

I have no problem with what he said, after last year starting 0-2 would be extremely frustrating for this team. They have done nothing but lose for a year straight.

I was more concerned about how much he and the other DL were celebrating a sack rather than getting back to the line in a hurry up offense situation.

that was on the linebackers though wasn't it?
