Tyrone Crawford ticks me off

IMO, if you are in your 2nd or 3rd year, and you haven't earned a starting spot, then you are not good enough. Period.

A back up you will be, you are subpar, I'm talkin bout you, Mr. Crawford and Mr. Escobar.

Zero career sacks, how can it be? It can't be his fault, it must be JG's.

This is true, Aaron Rodgers sat for three years and he has been just awful as a starter. just.awful
Romo sat for nearly 4. He sucks too

You have to be kidding me. One was hurt and the other can't get his number called. There is nothing wrong with these players.

He was sitting behind a Hall of Famer and the second coming of Christ in Green Bay. This guy is playing behind legends such as George Selvie and Jeremy Mincey.

He is also coming from playing a 3-4 DE one year, tearing his achilles the next and now learning to play DT & DE in a 4-3 while still slightly recovering from said achilles injury.sounds like quite a bit to me He's got more QB pressures & more tackles that Mr. Cameron Jordan so far this year who we happen to be playing this week who is also a former first round pick.

Alot of people on here was talking him up so high. He's never done anything in the nfl. Never. Let's let him play this season out.

That's not what you said. I remember most people saying basically the same as I was and am. That's far from Pro Bowl or even really really good.

I get what you're saying, but you're talking about two QB's there. You don't rotate QB's. No coach is saying, "Oh, Tom looks a little tired. Mallet, get in there for a few snaps."

At just about any other position, you should be able to showcase some skills as part of the rotation in 4 years, and if you're any good, you'll probably win the position before those 4 years are up.

Tyrone Crawford, DLE: +3.7

Breakdown: After an outstanding outing as a pass rusher against the Titans (+4.3, one hit and five hurries) Crawford put in a more complete performance against the Rams. He had a hit and three hurries on just 25 hurries dominating Davin Joseph on stunts in particular. Crawford also recorded the best run defense grade (+2.1) making a pair of stops along the way. Cap problems have forced a reshuffle on the Cowboys’ line and they need their drafted players to take up the mantle.

Signature Stat: Crawford is currently second in pass rush productivity behind Cameron Wake. His three hits and eight hurries (13.8 PRP) leave him only eighth overall in terms of total pressure but he’s done his damage on just 60 snaps.

I wish people would stop just looking at sacks.

That's some nice numbers right there.

Don't understand the negativity towards this player. Bottom line is we are short at the three tech this week, and Spencer is back for SDE. He's the best guy for the spot this week. Melton is listed as questionable right now.

all you have to do is read who is posting negative hate over and over.

the same ones do it over and over.

your avatar cracks me up every time i see it by the way.

miserable haters who are either fans of other teams or just quite simply negative people in general posing as cowboy fans...

but if they are zone supporters... they are free to post whatever venom they can spew without consequences..

Not seeing any venom being spewed in this thread.

I am intrigue with Crawford playing the DT position.

I think Jimmy Johnson converted slow DEs to DTs and that was successful.

Leon Lett comes to mind.

I hope that happens. But I don't think Crawford's ability matches Leon Lett's ability.

Leon Lett was slow?

Lol, WPB...maybe the new stats bunch might want to attempt to determine why the acquisition of Thomas Everett solidified the then Dallas secondary and why the addition of Charles Haley changed the box for the Cowboys...

It was Wannestedt that set the dynamics for the defensive unit...as team came to the front there.

Jim Jeffcoat stated, 'The key to our defense is that guys play so hard for Dave because they love him so much. He's straight with guys. He may not tell guys what they want to hear, but you at least know that he's being honest. He's a motivator, communicator, and very positive. A lot of times he'll come up with something and it will work because he loves it so much that he gets you to love it.

WPB, sounds like someone now describing Rod Marrinelli....I already described the basic functions of the change from the Landry flex to the more dynamic 4-3 that has returned to Dallas now as well. Inside guys reading on the move and the outside guys driving upfield to pressure.
Linebackers gang tackling, and safeties playing like linebackers.

Steve Young and Aaron Rodgers say hello.

You do know that Crawford has started every game this year right?

I think Aints might try a ground and pound approach to throw Dallas off.

This is what i think as well. What better way to help a less than stellar Brees than to run right over our McClain-less defense then let Jimmy and company torch us on play action. Hope rests with Murrray IMO.
