Tyrone Crawford ticks me off

Until Anthony Spencer gets some plays under his belt again...I guess we are awaiting for the re-entry of Lawrence, to get a more complete view of this unit. In the meantime, I'll enjoy watching both Spence and Crawford.

I have a little bit of time in a couple of various Mooney's. I instructed a guy in a Mooney Rocket, that thing was amazing. It was properly named, that's for sure. I flew a G1000 182 from Dallas to Vegas and back. Something like 18 hours round trip. My *** hurt after that. I preferred the 182RG, though.

The 182 is just a good basic entry high performance airplane. Fast enough but fairly forgiving. I like the Mooney but I like the Bonanza and Baron better. They're just so expensive to operate. Never flew a push/pull but have heard they are good aircraft.

He's getting there, it's just game 3 coming off an injury.....

Those are some great shots.

That's one of the reasons why I've been saying since training camp it would be midseason before we really knew where we are at with this defense. Hopefully DLaw is the final returning piece.

Yep 1 time in each game. Watch out.

I've been seeing him coming every game, about 2-3 times per game. At first I couldn't figure out who it was, then I did a little digging. I'm surprised they haven't started calling him "Almost TY."

Exactly what I've been seeing. I think it started the 2nd half of the 49ers game.

op that's just the way crawford talks. he's kind of a dumb jock. he doesn't like doing the media thing.

This is likely his credited QB hit in the Rams game:

Hits the QB under 3 seconds, pressure under 2.5.

The result of this play was Crawford getting pressure and hitting the QB in 2.5 seconds. The pass is completed over the middle for 2 yards, contact is made 6 yards down the field, and the ball carrier is finally brought down about 10 yards down the field.

Short passes going for ten yards is what's most frustrating about how the defense is playing right now. Scandrick is the only player I consistently see shutting down short passes in his zone.

Yeah I've see. Our whole line get pressure. Crawford is a good average player. Just some on this forum was calling him a pro bowl player before the season.

He's a good rotational player buts that about it.

1 sack a game equals 16 sacks for the season. Tad bit above JAG level.

Here's hoping that he starts to finish those plays.
He didn't get sacks now did he. Also 1 sack game is pointless if you don't do anything g else during the game.

Look I like crawford. I just never seen what everyone else did before the season. There were alot of people on here talking him up like he was JJ Watt.

He's a good rotational player but that's about it.

Who said he was a pro bowl player? I don't remember that.

Didn't realize I had this tab open/hadn't posted this. Here's the rest of the pass rushes where he's close or relevant within three seconds:

Thanks for posting these. He's can be a solid player esp if 1-3 other guys are getting pressure. Eventually the dam breaks.

This demonstrates very clearly what I am talking about. In the first one he gets off the line is a bit upright and tries to bend better as he is handfighting. Legs drive the entire time. Looks very raw.

Third snap he has his guy hopping on one foot and barely managing to hold on but he doesn't use a move to ragdoll him. He snaps back to the left and the OG is on his butt. The second one sees the OT holding his feet much better but he is on skates. Crawford starts working him laterally he spins him. I don't know the technique precisely but I can see momentum to exploit and I have seen other guys do it.

He is learning though and already effective.

IMO, if you are in your 2nd or 3rd year, and you haven't earned a starting spot, then you are not good enough. Period.

A back up you will be, you are subpar, I'm talkin bout you, Mr. Crawford and Mr. Escobar.

Zero career sacks, how can it be? It can't be his fault, it must be JG's.

Someone likes themselves some instant gratification. Scandrick didn't come on until his 3rd or 4th year. Some guys take time.
