we have LVE and Smith both MLB. LVE can't play outside. Smith is a better rusher, so moving him to the outside, where Lee used to play provides opportunities for pass rush.. dude, get a hold of yourself. Bernard is nothing but a bottom of the LB roster LB and special teams player for at least two years before he really gets an opportunity to sniff the field.

sorry, but you are abust

LVE is a better OLB that can cover and tackle side to side. Not every single player needs to rush the passer. That why we got DTs and are paying Lawrence $100 million.

OLB that can cover > OLB rush the passer on occasion

Can LVE matchup with TEs? Does the division and conference have top tier TEs to attack offenses?

How do you think Carson Wentz beat the Cowboys with street WR? Because he had 2 top notch TEs that beat the living pulp out of the LBs and safeties.

Jaylon in not an OLB and he can’t handle LB duties ,that’s why they are moving him. He is a one trick pony that can slightly rush the passer.

By the way Bradlee Anae is the OLB Nolan is looking for. He is gonna be in nomination for DROY.

It's sad because I think you actually believe the nonsense that you post.

He can do the LB duties. Problem is he chooses not to most times. Jaylon Smith is all about his brand. Football is secondary. Tough to be a great LB like that.

He can play LB to a certain level, but there are better options like Bernard whose level playing LB is far higher than Jaylon Smith.

so I guess you know better than Mike Nolan and McCarthy. LVE is a better OLB and moving smith there was a mistake ! got it....dang it, I just put in a request to Jones through Dallas.com to add you to the coaching staff

you know team's blitz with LBs? you know Nolan will run a 5-3, 3-4 hybrid. you know teams rush with more than just their DEs.

I will let the coaches decide and you play fantasy football

Hey, an opinion...now make sense. Know what an intransitive verb is?

This could have been a good thread if you could resist the hyperbole.

The chance of Jaylon being replaced is extremely low and the probability of Jaylon being replaced in 2020 by a rookie UDFA is basically zero.

The writing is already on the wall, why are they switching his position on defense.

If your franchise QB can get replaced with a blink of an eye so can any overpaid Defensive or Offensive player.

Excellent point. There are no Sacred Cows on this team any more.....and thats a good thing!

Lol @ thinking an UDFA from the no defense playing Pac12 can come in and unseat a probowl linebacker that has contributed 345 tackles since 2017. Is Jaylon the best LB in the league? No, but too think this kid is on the verge of losing his job is asinine.

I don't get the Jaylon Smith hate on here but starting to realize certain Cowboys fans don't know jack squat when it comes to football..

Yes you are right they are switching his position because of an undrafted player that hasn't even stepped foot on the practice field much less played one NFL snap. How didn't we all see this? Were we looking at the wrong wall?

Replacing Jaylon is a bit much.

Making the team? Very possible.

Good football player.
