Dane Brugler’s comments from The Beast

Michael Trigg

  • Trigg needs additional refinement as a route runner and blocker, but he plays with the foot quickness, body control and catch-point talent to be a three-level weapon. Showing NFL teams that accountability isn’t a question will be key during the draft process and early in his career.

DJ Rogers
  • Rogers is a tad behind on the learning curve, but his athletic traits at his size, plus the improvements on his 2025 tape, make him an interesting Day 3 developmental option.

Jordan Hudson
  • Hudson isn’t a polished player at this point in his development, but he is a good-sized athlete with a bionic way of adjusting to the football. The NFL talent is there. Hopefully, he’ll land with a coaching staff able to get the best out of him.

Where is Rene Konga?

He was on everyone’s board for the Cowboys. I need more Konga!

Rene Konga - DT - Louisville - Unsigned

Brugler’s snippet from The Beast

Konga put disruptive flashes on tape, with short-area quickness and violent hands to impact both phases. He is the type of ascending prospect worth bringing to your building.

DJ Rogers is just ok, there are much better TE's available. They better bring in two. Rodgers and Fant can fight for a practice squad spot. I guess they are starting close to home with the UDFA's and then going from there.
Assuming the Cowboys don't cut anyone the roster has room for 15 UDFA's right now I believe.
Fant is already with the Panthers isn't he???

Ok so this Michael Trigg guy..

He is definitely really good at the things he’s good at..

He can run up the seem & make a contested catch.

I don’t know if the guy can block or anything else but he is athletic & he can win the ball in 1 v 1 situations.

Some names I feel should have been drafted and are strong UDFA candidates in my opinion:

Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU
Deion Burks, WR, Oklahoma
Michael Trigg, TE, Baylor
Isaiah World, T, Oregon
Deontae Lawson, LB, Alabama
Nadame Tucker, EDGE, Western Michigan
Mason Reiger, EDGE, Wisconsin
A year ago Burks and Nussmeier not getting drafted seemed unrealistic.

These two TEs have a shot to make the roster because I think they're looking to move on from Schoonmaker. Trigg has an uphill battle as a receiving TE though

Uphill? Trigg has legit nfl receiving ability. DJ Rogers is more of a practice squad guy that could develop as a well rounded TE.
