  1. Cyborg is a man and known PED abuser and out of Rousey's weight class as a featherweight (145 lbs).
  2. Name one champion in any fighting sport that hasn't fought tin cans early in their careers? You don't start your career fighting title holders. Rousey has beaten Tate (twice) who is a very experienced and well-rounded as is Cat Zigano and Beth Correia. Rousey only has 14 professional fights under her belt. If you wanna criticize her for the quality of opponent she was fighting early in her career than you need to criticize Cyborg too, unless you're impressed with her victories over Elaine Santiago de Lima and her 0-4 career record, Marise Vitoria (0-1), Leslie Smith (9-7) or Yoko Takahashi (15-12), et cetera.

Rousey started out in the 145 weight class, she dropped to 135. In Judo she competed in the 154 lbs weight class.

As for cans, yes Cyborg has fought many because the talent pool is so shallow. The difference between them being that Cyborg has gone out of her way to find the hardest fights, as opposed to Ronda who went out of her way to duck Cyborg. Rousey has beaten Tate, and Tate has been among the best of the current talent. But that's it. Zingano and Correia are both tough and scrappy, but hardly gifted fighters.

And before you trot out Bethe's record, don't bother. I've actually watched her fight and I know who she's fought. She's a perfect example of the UFC propping up someone and feeding her to Rousey. If you didn't watch her fight, or know who she fought, you'd actually think she was a threat to Rousey - but her record was manufactured by feeding her people like Jessamyn Duke (who should never be allowed in the cage) and Shayna Baszler (which would have been pretty impressive in say, 2004). And she was fed those two specifically to build her 'rivalry' with Rousey by beating other members of the idiotic and generally unskilled '4 horsewomen.'

The UFC has fooled a lot of people into thinking Ronda was something she wasn't, which was a great fighter. They went out of their way to protect her from Cyborg, and Ronda didn't seem to mind a bit. Rousey even refused to fight Cyborg at 140, but then said she'd go back up in weight and fight Gina Carano. That's what made her a fraud, her bloated and fabricated record and her ducking of Cyborg. She was complicit in some of it, some of it was purely the UFC, but the result is the same. She mauled soccer moms and got her *** beat by skilled or powerful strikers.

Now the wheels will come off and she'll probably look back and realize what a fraud she's been. I don't think she even realized the extent of it because she was being fed a bunch of ******** by that vulture Edmond. She believed she was the fighter the UFC said she was, some generational talent, and she thought she was an elite striker. Now she knows better, and I'm sure that's going to be a tough pill to swallow. At least this time she had an inkling going in, because she had been knocked out by Holmes. And notice the other difference between her and Cyborg (or any other real fighter), when Ronda lost to Holmes her former Judo coach came out immediately and said Ronda wouldn't fight her again because she doesn't handle adversity well. Low and behold Ronda didn't start training for her comeback until after Holmes lost - and don't feed me that crap about the jaw. Ronda didn't start training because she couldn't face Holmes, she didn't have the mental toughness for it. She's a bully, she's not a fighter.

A lot of people don't like Connor McGregor, but look at the difference between him and Ronda. They both lost and Connor couldn't wait for another chance at Nate, he wanted it immediately. It's the same with Aldo against McGregor - he wanted to fight him again the next day. That's because they are fighters, not bullies. Ronda lost and she ran away and went into hiding, she didn't want another shot at Holmes, she just disappeared and hid until the big bad wolf was gone. Unfortunately for her she ran into a grizzly when she came out of hiding.

I guarantee you when Rhonda was competing in Judo as an amateur she was not even remotely in the same shape and training her body the way she came into the cage on Friday; it's no surprise she was walking around 20 lbs heavier. Cyborg comes down to make 145, is yolked up and probably fights 10-12 lbs heavier after the weigh-ins.

(she has issues cutting weight)

Rhonda and Cyborg fought tins cans early in their respective careers; that's indisputable. The difference is Rhonda'a have been more recent because she hasn't been a pro that long.

Lastly, Cris Cyborg has been dealing with suspensions the past 5-6 years (stripped of her Strikeforce title) so it's a bit disingenuous to say "Rhonda's been ducking..." when Cyborg hasn't been available. It's not Rhonda's (or any opponent's) responsibility to sit around idle, adjusting their fight schedule to accommodate a contender like Cyborg.

BTW, I feel terrible that I typed Holmes instead of Holm over and over in the previous post. It's like people typing Whitten. Unfortunately I can't edit it.

BTW, Dana White offered Cyborg title belt fights at 145 and she turned them both down because she couldn't make weight even with 8 weeks notice.

8 weeks notice and then 11 weeks notice.

She turned them down because she's a steroid mutated freak and has to be very careful when and where she fights. Unfortunately she's now failed another test. So a suspension is looming.

I have no respect for Cyborg. Little respect for any Brazilian MMA fighter. That whole country is like a steroid factory.

various:
Rousey: Don't feel sorry for her because she made 3 million dollars. At the same time she made the UFC about 50 million.
Cyborg: Just stop. Cyborg is the most dominant female fighter I've seen to be sure. But she can't pass a drug test and is on a steroid regimen that belies any whining about anything.

UFC in general seems to be declining. Too many events, too much marketing angle.
But it's a great sport and new champs will emerge.

Don't care. Steroids don't make you tough, they don't give you heart, they only allow you to recover more quickly and work harder than you normally would without over training.

THey also make you physically bigger and stronger and when you're physically bigger and stronger than everyone at the weight class you're fighting at that makes a difference.

A roid user has no heart. Cyborg is a cheap cheat. She has earned no respect and deserves no respect.

All that BS out here about how she can't make 140 cause of health. ********. She can't make 140 because she would lose too much of her roid muscle and strength that she's spent so long cheating to get.

I will never give that cheater respect.

Now for the event itself....

The main event was a giant disappointment. Props to Nunes for being the beast she is but that has effectively killed off my desire to watch womens fighting.

I do not care to watch Nunes fight. She is no draw for me. Neither is the roid monster Cyborg. With Rhonda and Miesha now gone there is pretty much no one out there, at the moment, that will have me paying to watch any womens fight. They just don't interest me in the least.

SO GLAD Cody beat the hell out of Cruz. I can not say enough how much I can not stand Cruz. So thrilled that he got absolutely schooled by a guy he's run his mouth about for so long. I love it.

LOL at the UFC declining. Does that guy get anything right? The UFC had more million dollar PPVs in 2016 than in their entire history combined. Mostly because of McGregor.

I only pay for McGregor fights. The rest I just find other ways to watch.
