Love that rhonda lost again!

Holly Holm looked world class after her beat down of Rousey. We saw how that went afterwards.
Ronda isn't popular, I get it. She was the best at her apex, and it isn't close. Gtho if you think there's been a better female fighter (not directed at you, Viman)
Ronda became popular beating up cans in the UFC. She was the big fish in a small pond. She has not dominated since there has been talent in that division.
Ronda has never had good striking, and her coach is terrible. Anyone could see this result.
Welcome to Ronda's retirement party tonight, via vicious TKO from Nunes to a sleeping Rousey.
Let the gifs flood in here in 2 hours, it will be great.
LOL Nunes will lose to the next fighter she faces. Listen to Nunes talk all that crap. She is a puncher, boxer, someone else will connect on her chin and take the title.
Such is woman's UFC. Rousey was the outlier
Women’s MMA is a very different sport to the one Rousey entered in 2011, and far more again from how things were when the UFC admitted female fighters and installed Rousey as its inaugural champion three years ago.
Take Nunes for example. The Brazilian-born, Florida-based power puncher lives and breathes the sport, has made a comfortable enough living from it that she has been able to give it her complete attention, and set her heart on being the best in the octagon, unbothered by distractions such as Hollywood or photo spreads or a rash of commercials.
As the fame of women’s fighting increased, thanks almost solely to Rousey, so too did the standard of combat, and it is the latter part that she could not keep pace with.
It is harsh to say, but she was in some ways a one-trick pony. What a trick it was, the devastating armbar, to which no one had an answer. Until they did.
I completely disagree. Woman's UFC is so new, name me a more dominant fighter?
Cyborg. Women's MMA goes beyond the UFC. Cyborg has been dominant for years, and it should be obvious to anyone now why Rousey worked so hard to duck her (while simultaneously trying to discredit her). Cyborg is everything Rousey isn't - she has a fighter's mentality. She took a muay thai match against one of the top women in the world, who was 36 - 0 - 3 at the time of the match. It didn't help her MMA record, and she lost under muay thai rules, but she took the fight because she wanted to test herself and fight the best. Meanwhile Rousey was fighting soccer moms and chicks who got into MMA to lose weight.
Ronda was a high level judoka fighting against people with limited or no combat sport experience and a couple of years of training. So she was able to use a handful of moves to beat them. But she did it all while ducking Cyborg, and if anyone ever had a doubt how that fight would have gone all they had to do is watch last night. Rousey was never the greatest woman fighter, she was just the one the UFC propped up. The only difference between her and Gina Carano (aside from Gina being hot) was that Carano actually had the guts to face Cyborg. But she was propped up by EliteXC exactly the same way that Rousey was by the UFC. Rousey finished her career 12 - 2, Carano finished 8 - 1, and Carano was 12 - 1 - 1 in kickboxing too. It could be argued that even she was as dominant as Rousey, until she was beaten into retirement by Cyborg.

Thanks for the schooling, JD. Admittedly, I don't follow the sport as much as I do other sports. You damn cleared that one up. Lol
Don't forget that Cyborg has taken so many roids she's a guy.
She does look like she's suffering the effects of roids.Don't forget that Cyborg has taken so many roids she's a guy.
Yes and if you really know first hand what roid rage is it's not a joke. She does look like she's suffering the effects of roids.
