As usual the BP haters forget certain things:
Who was it that got Colombo?
Who was the only person who wanted to give Gurode one more chance in 2006?
Who was it that convinced Jerrah in early 2003 to give the Hotel a big contract?
Pettiti was a 6th rd pick who started for a whole season. Was not that bad untill late in the year. Peterman is starting for the Lions - which means he is not a total loss either. Of his O line picks only Rogers was a total loss.
Rivera was a good pick up who just happened to injure his back; Kosier is still the starting left guard.
Flo was here before Parcells
Columbo is average at best and will not be in Dallas next year...if they thought he was the answer they would have given him a long term deal this summer. And Columbo is not a find, he was a 1st round pick from another team that had injury problems. If anything the strength and conditioning coach in Dallas should be credited for making this guy into somone that can earn a living in the NFL, but again, if the Cowboys thought he was the answer, he would have gotten the long term deal he was seeking.
Gurode, also here before Parcells, was fine UNTIL Parcells showed up and started *** with him...and if Parcells had his way, he would have probably ran Gurode out of town
SO WHAT PETITTI started for a whole season, if he was any good wouldn't he be in the NFL right now, he is terrible, get over it
What makes Rivera a good pick up?
Peterman, did you say Peterman, are you really defending Peterman?
Now do you want to talk about the 2nd round pick ROgers from USC that the scouts begged Parcells not to take. Or the fact we drafted Al Johnson in the 2nd round and Parcells spent the whole time complaining about how small he was? Or 1st round pick Marcus Spears who is on his last legs in Dallas...or 1st round pick Bobby Carpenter who is close to being on his last legs in Dallas, or 2nd round pick Anthony Fasano who...wait, he is ALREADY gone
Parcells did some good things, especially on day 2 of the draft....but stop getting so defensive every time his glaring busts from the 1st/2nd round are pointed out and shoudl be obvious to anyone who understands the game a little bit
