Bad as I hate the Beagles, could never bring myself to root the for the Yankees. Like going to Vegas and rooting for the house.

As much as I hate the Philly fan base, I can sooooooo relate to this statement.

:laugh2:

There's some extreme hate for Philly on this board. It's kind of funny and sad.

It's no different than the hate Philly had for Dallas when we were handing your ***** to you on a yearly basis through the 90's. The tables have turned (well kinda. We actually turned our runs into championships. But that's another topic altogether).

Philly's had our number. We hate it. Therefore we hate them. It's not rocket surgery.

What's funny and sad is an Eagles fan acting like he's indifferent to the Cowboys.

For me - I dont hate Philly. I just dont ever want them to win anything. Especially the Eagles.

Is that bad?

If it helps, I really enjoyed Rocky I and II.

Really? It restores my faith in humanity.

They get spanked by the Yankees in the series, then cap off the week losing a 1st place battle to the Cowboys on their home field.

Yeah, go make it happen. That whole city will be on suicide watch. And I'll love it.

It would certainly make my day. The Phillies are a good baseball team, and proved it last year, but, I still love the fact they lost this year.

I was going to make a thread similiar to this. Philly will be on suicide watch for sure. Nothing will make me happier than to hear about a few of them on the news:D

Phillies beat the Devil Rays in WS. Weak opponent - good timing on their part. I dont think they are that good.

If not for 2 players; Cliff Lee and Chase Utley - they had nothing for the Yankees.

And completely justified.

Lol ...some of you guys are so extremely funny ...mixing Football with Baseball. Some of you have expressed how good you felt about the Yankees and somehow you think that's going to tie directly in on the eagles vs Cowboys game. Get real guys, there can't possible be any connection. If it were, using your own concepts, this week could go especially bad "foryas" (excuse my Philadelphia-east Coast accent); especially taking into consideration that last year the Phillies were work Champions and the Eagles beat you guys 44-6.

What it comes down to is the Yankees-Phillies gan and what we did to your team last year has absolutely nothing to do with this coming Sunday. On the other hand, I wouldn't overlook the Eagle-Giants outcome.

PT
It has absolutely nothing to do with it. Yet, you decided to insert it within your post anyway. That's clever.

Not.

This thread? Poor comparison.

'Funny' is watching Donovan McNabb heave Linda Blair style under the least amount of pressure. 'Sad' is watching Eagles fans boo Santa Claus.
