Ummm............ wow

I am tired of then picking a LBER that will not play for a year

might as well pencil in A TE every year in the 2nd

10 - LB - S Lee
11- LB - B Carter
12- DE - T Crawford
13 - TE - G Esocbar
14 - DE - D Lawrence
15 - DE - R Gregory

I'm a big time ND fan...so I love the pick & am so happy for him & his family. His knee is undoubtedly a concern, but the Cowboys team doctor performed his surgery...so if someone is intimately familiar with his issues, it would be that exact doctor. The one shock for me, is that all teams know he's at least going to miss 2016.

OK fine. Would have been a great pick in the 4th.

I can't believe that the Doctor would hide info in regards to Smith's injury, regardless of where his loyalties lie. If the cowboys withheld info just so they could get him at a lower pick seems unethical.... someone could have taken him in first round (and made him more money) if they had the same info

I'm not a doctor. They obviously talked to his doctor. That doctor probably knows what he's talking about

Love the pick. Guy was the top defender until his knee injury. Literally one of the only consensus 'elite' prospects

I had him over Ramsey in my early mocks. Not that I know what I'm doing but I thought he just looked like a dominant player.

I really liked Smith pre-injury. I would follow a more conservative strategy than Jerry in the first few rounds and wasn't really enamored with Gregory last year. If Smith returns to form and signs a second contract it's genius but a bit too risky for my blood.

I think that most people don't really know what's really going on and they just assume Jaylon Smith won't play again.

The fact is that he's early in his rehab and he's already running and lifting with his lower body. A full year from now and I wouldn't be surprised he's 100%. Like Jaylon said himself, have some faith.

The issue is that the Cowboys medical staff blows.

They have consistently gotten diagnosis and timetables for recovery wrong.

I would seek a second opinion.

Nah. Jerry thinks he's smarter than the rest of the world. Another stupid pick. Particularly with Jack still out there.

Jack, who has to have microfracture surgery and has more issues then Smith? Goes to show how much you really know

Jack doesn't have to have microfracture surgery according to Dr. James Andrews.

Jack was also shown dunking basketballs with easy yesterday.

Same guy that has cartilage separating from bone? oh yeah that guys

With our luck, Smith will get healthy and be 100% in 2017, but Lee will suffer a career ending concussion in preseason.
