Alex Okafor from the Cardinals. Played DE at Texas but was moved to olber. I dont see him being depth as they only have Irving at SDE and Tapper and Lawrence are complete unkowns.

I would say some nondescript DL like Jacksonville's Abry Jones would be right down Dallas' free agent alley.

But he's getting a decent contract to re-up with the Jaguars.

Jones would be a great pick up if he doesn't sign with the jags

JPP has had injury issues, I sure don't feel good about giving him a boat load of money. I think we've changed the way we approach free agency and to me this just throws that in the trash. This is a very good edge rush draft, l'd prefer to go that route myself.

23 splash plays in his 4 years in the league, primarily a nickel CB / dime Safety:
  • 8 Interceptions
  • 5 Forced fumbles
  • 6 Fumble recoveries
  • 4 Sacks
Real nice player who finds way to get his hands on the ball.

He'd be a major upgrade to Wilcox as the 3rd safety and would also be a nice slot CB. Just don't ask him to play outside...

8 INTs! Rest assured he wouldn't get that here!

Only if they don't want to re-sign him because you can't compete with them to sign a player due to their massive amount of cap space.

I know this thread was about under the radar options, but I am starting to feel like Jerry will make a good push at bringing in JPP.
Based on?

It's not happening. Any talk from the Cowboys about JPP is simply a manuver to make it seem like the Cowboys are interested for the sole purpose of driving up the price for the Giants.

I've watched a lot of Packers games. A player that can play slot CB and SS is interesting, but I don't think they would want him at slot CB over Scandrick or Brown. He is smallish to play SS full time and was banged up in 2016.

Church and Wilcox both had 5 INTs over the past 4 years.

If he is cheap then the Packers will keep him. If not, I don't see the Cowboys paying him more than a "cheap" contract because he just a borderline starter.

I was giving my personal opinion. I do not think Giants will spend to keep him and I think Jerry will actually make a splash this year which he has not done in quite some time.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I think Dallas is out of most of the free agents you can take a look at right now. I do think cap casualties might be a better route.

Players like Elvis Dumervil, Roy Miller, Jared Odrick, Eugene Sims, Brian Robison and Brooks Reed could all become available.

Mario Addison, defensive end

Unless you’re a fan of the Carolina Panthers or just watch them play a lot, you probably don’t know who Mario Addison is. And you shouldn’t feel bad about that. Addison was originally an undrafted free agent out of Troy who spent his first two NFL seasons bouncing around four different teams and earning just one start.

He then caught on with the Panthers in 2013 and finally stuck. The past three years, he’s been a situational pass-rusher for Carolina, racking up 22 sacks, including 11 this past season.

He’s gotten better each year he’s been in the league, and at the age of 29 it’s about time Addison — a guy who’s earned just over $5 million in six years — got paid for his efforts

Robert Woods, wide receiver
