Well some teams had a Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes. We don’t. We need a dominant running attack and while Pollard is great, giving him the ball 20x per game is not going to be good for him. You have another home run hitter back there and we don’t have to rely solely on Dak to win games, which has been our downfall every playoff loss.
The thing about RB's is being a playmaker when your called on, thats my point teams who are handing the ball off to the same guy 30 times a game are not going deep in the playoffs. Thats why you see these RB by committee work better, fresh legs equal bigger plays in general.

Do any of those things support an descending player point of view?

In KC is was 4th string behind Isiah Pacheco, Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Exactly how many carries do you think he should have got?

He didn't have a 1000 yard season but he did get 978 yards in 2020 (5.1 ypc) but keep in mind TB also had Leonard Fournette there too.
He should have beaten two of those players. That fact that he couldn't is all the reason yoy need to assume he wont likely make the roster

Edwards-Helaire was their 2020 1st round pick (3rd year) teams just don't normally move on from their high draft picks that quickly. McKinnon is a 3rd down type back and had 9 receiving TDs.

Yes and I totally agree that’s why I think we need an upgrade at RB #2. I couldn’t imagine lining up our offense with Henry and Pollard and the other weapons….it’d be too tempting if i was in the FO to not try to make that happen, even if only for a season.

I'm guilty........

His Youtube highlights

He could not beat out an overweight Fournette, was replaced by a rookie last year in Tampa, and could not see the field because of a 7th round pick from the football factory Rutgers in KC. Jones will end up like that former Pittsburgh WR, that never started that the Jonesboys signed last year, and that had a lot of fans fooled. I was right about him and I will be right about Jones.

Smith toted the team to three Lombardis.

At this point, I have to admit that cheaper veteran pick ups over the past 7-8 seasons, have usually been reliable even if not the very best on the team. This scouting department is pretty darn good at selecting cheaper players for roster fills. They have a base line and experience also. I have to at a minimal expect him to pick up the difference needed in games.
