Underwhelmed by Canty

I don't know, I must be watching different game then some people. I thought the kid looked good....again.

He makes tackles all over the field, put pressure on at times and was stout vs the run except on the 55 yarder where he got sucked inside.

He is fine.

Wasn't Ware to that side on that play?

He was and was part to blame. Took an outside rush and squezzed it down pretty good, but the running back ran through the lane that Canty created by crashing down.

They both were to blame on that, but moreso, Canty.

HE's a crossdresser! My wife was lookin at his butt last night and she said it looked like he was wearin a thong onder his uniform! :laugh2:
Oh I see...Well...ummm. Not that there is anything wrong with that :D

If he can stay healthy, both Spears and Canty have a chance to be excellent down the road. Their play should compliment each other very nicely.

If they remain healthy, they will anchor the D-line for years to come, spelled by Ratliff and Johnson. This rookie class will leave a huge footprint on the franchise.

As usual, I get into these threads late - Hawaii time! Just want to put in my 2 cents.I can't beleave people are down on Canty already, I remember after the draft how we were discussing if Canty would be put on IR for the year, as was thought New England was going to do and why we traded up to get him before they could.Just the fact that he is playing at all - and IMO playing pretty well - speaks volumes for him and his potential. We will not see the best of Canty at all this year, but with time to play himself in,and an offseason to fully recover from - remember, major knee surgery.I beleave he will become a dominateing lineman for years to come.Very, very happy he's a Cowboy. So, let's all cut him some slack...( So ends my little rant, thankya very much!)

Canty has the ideal size for a 3-4 end. he needs time in the weight room to be more powerful. he reminds me a lot of Leon Lett. Hopefully he turns out to be just as good.

FYI, he was an innocent bystander and got hit by a bottle thrown from across the room. There are no character issues.
yes we all know that but the fact that he was there and was in effect injured in a bar fight still left many with doubts. Just like Keith Davis wasn't involved in the incident that got him shot but he got cut for being there. It just raised a red flag that dropped his draft status a bit more.

Canty is doing just fine. He has a tremendous get off and he uses his hands well. As the season progresses and he gets more focused reps his contributions will become immense. Offensive lines will fear our rotation!

He is a rookie!!! He is going to make the team!!! These two statements have not been put together in a long time around here for 1st rounders let alone 4th rounders.

When was the last time anyone said one of our first rounders wasn't going to make the team?

;)

Most of us are not down on him...in fact it seems to be just one guy.
