There's stats to show either is better than the other. That's why it's infuriating to make any conclusions 3 weeks in

He didn't just throw a dump off.

He avoids a rusher, scrambles not to run but to draw the linebacker towards him and away from his receiver, then hits Sproules in stride who takes it down field for a touchdown.

Sorry, but it was a very good play for a rookie. It wasn't simply a dump off pass.

I watched that game.... Don't take anything away from Wentz... don't be that guy. Wentz made some really good throws.

Also if there is even a discussion of which QB is better it means Dallas wins the argument. We got a franchise QB for a comp 4th rounder, the Eagles gave up the farm for Wentz. If Wentz is a franchise QB, he had better be because the Eagles gave up two #1s, a #2, a #3 and a #4 to get him.

You might want to rewatch that play. Wentz was blitzed and the pocket started to collapse. He stepped up, then ran to his right while watching the field the whole time. He saw Sproles break upfield and laid a perfect pass in to him while on the move. Damn good play, not as simple dump off. Also, Skip doesn't mention that Wentz's receivers probably lead the league in dropped passes. His stats would look better if even half of those balls were caught.

There is no reason to denigrate Wentz to make Dak look better. Both show great promise. We don't know who will be better. I do know that we got the better bargain, but if Wentz is the real deal, then the Eagle's paying price was not too high.
