Nor is Dak the QB nor is Witten a downfield thread.. maybe we can agree to a middle ground and start Cooper Rush, while waiting for the Garrett crew to eventually ruin his moxie too..
I actually like Cooper and think we have two quality QBs already on the roster... Sadly though, with Garrett firmly entrenched, any QB on our roster is going to be handcuffed by unimaginative unprepared management.

Be careful what you wish for. Dez is absolutely worthless to us at this point. I agree. I guess it'll be like Romo, once he leaves we will see how good he still is..

I used to worry about stuff like that happening. Based on the fact that Dez has sucked ever since he signed his contract I could live with the decision to cut him even if he sets the world on fire. At some point you have to believe that they have lost whatever they had and move on. He isn't worth his contract no matter what else happens, which makes it a pretty easy call.

I made a post about this in the past.

We also badly need a playmaker at tight end. It’s really laughable when you watch other teams with a legit playmaker at TE and we are stuck with Witten until he retires. He has no speed or leaping ability. I love the guy but accept a role like Antonio Gates or play somewhere else.
Great point. Having a more reserve role like Gates would be great. Having a Hunter Henry or Kelce would greatly expand our offense and the way we can attack teams. Really wish we could make teams pay for constantly blitzing

I can pretty much guarantee you Dak's play will improve next year without Dez in the locker room. I'd even bet money on it (& I am not into betting my hard earned money).
You really shouldn't bet your hard earned money.......you wouldn't have any left to bet on the problems you missed.

Can someone tell me why Switzer only has 2 catches and only 9 yards for the season?

Hmmm.....my point.....maybe you're on to something??? BTW.....Brice with 13 catches.
That has been the issue. They did their best to try and dumb Romo down and now they're working on Dak.

But, sadly, we probably won't see Linehan next year but the clapper will be firmly entrenched.

I have a question for y'all... What percentage of Dak's picks yesterday were the fault of Dez Bryant?

I'll take 75%.

The pick in last weeks opening drive against the Raiders was Dez Bryant's fault also.

Here's my overall take on the situation:

I do not consider myself a Dez Bryant hater, but enough is enough. Dez is not the receiver he once was, and in this run-first offense, he is not what the Cowboys need as they continue to develop Prescott's skills. We need a true burner that can stretch defenses off play action; not Dez jogging downfield at what almost looks like half speed.

At this point, it would be beneficial to both sides to split. The Cowboys can draft/sign a better fit while Dez can go find a better fit himself.

I don't really give a

I am done with both Dak AND Dez. They can take the same bus out of town.

Sword cuts both ways; Dak’s erratic accuracy has impacted Dez’s production.

So Dak’s inaccuracy caused Dez to be the league leader or among the league leaders in dropped passes..........ok. I just keep replaying the drops vs. SD and NYG on deep jump balls that he had in both hands and dropped before any defensive player made a play on the ball. But, that’s Dak’s fault, right?

Shannon knows. He sees cues. Dak has been dealing with an incredible piece of luggage for his first two years. That luggage has Garrett, Linehan, and Dez inside of it screaming "throw the ball to Dez at all costs".
 but he made ROTY
