Signed by Cowboys Undrafted Tracker 2025

This was a thin draft class overall and Dallas had three 7th round picks. Didn't really need a huge UDFA haul.
And I can see this up to a point. But weak position groups that were basically ignored should have gotten more attention in UDFA. And who knows maybe there still will leave early some more signings today or tomorrow. Or have they said they are done? I haven't heard.

I think adding veterans will be their answer to the weaker position groups. Don't think UDFA's offer much help unless you are extremely lucky. The Tony Romo's and Miles Austin's are pretty rare.

Okay, slightly off topic but I was looking at the current roster. Assuming the Cowboys stay at just 9 UDFA's, they now have the rights to 95 players. I believe they can still use an International Pathways exemption on DT Denzel Daxon, so that means four current players need to be cut to meet the camp limit.

I wonder which four out of this group it will likely be: WR Seth Williams, TE Princeton Fant, TE John Stephens, G Jack Anderson, T Earl Bostick, DL Earnest Brown, DE Luiji Vilain, DE Tyrus Wheat, CB Luq Barcoo, CB Kemon Hall, and CB Troy Pride. All seem like candidates.

And even more will get cut if they sign FA's like Keenan Allen or Stephon Gilmore.

It's time we find out about our receivers that we have invested time in as udfas. Let's roll with them before we find a vet. Gotta see what they are. For me, Ryan Flournoy must take a big step this camp. Same with Tolbert. Camp cupcake is over. Step up, or get to steppin. This is the NFL not highschool. I also think that Oregon wr we just signed might push his way into the roster as a starting slot.

You don't draft a bunch of high character/leader types and make them share a locker room with a guy who tried to buy his way out of rape or sexual assault.
What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
"Unlike the false narrative that has been amplified, the truth, once revealed in its entirety, will show that he was targeted by a woman eight years his senior, relentlessly pursued, enticed by explicit photos & videos and ultimately setup for financial gain.

"Isaiah, like most 21-year-olds, must show a higher level of discernment in social media interactions and access, however, he is completely innocent of the allegations levied against him and will fight to clear his name. For Clubs that still feel his elite talent can help them win games for the next decade, he is eager to get back on the gridiron where he feels most at home."

None of these players will make the 53 to start the year. 4 of them have an outside chance at the practice squad. Dallas didn't really have any room for player adds on the roster. I agree with some of the others on here that it's a weak UDFA class. Dallas didn't even try. Nobody I'm overly exited about.

WR Holden has the best chance to make the PS, but it's because of Junior Adams the WR coach. I don't want him on the team, he has problems. He has been suspended from his team before and kicked out of games. Trouble maker. I like Kelly better but Holden has a sponsor in the building.

LB Barron has played a lot of special teams snaps in his career, almost 1,000. That gives him a chance to make the PS. He won't beat out Buddy for that last LB spot but if someone gets injured he could see the field.

FS Clark is probably the highest rated of the bunch. He has position versatility and ball skills. He misses a lot of tackles though. Good chance to make the PS, and the best chance to make the 53 of the bunch. He can back up Hooker. I don't think he makes the 53 because they probably only carry 4 safeties on the roster this year. Wilson, Hooker, Thomas, Bell. Wilson is a cut candidate though.

S Mike Smith small school guy but was an FCS All-American who had 4 picks and good numbers overall this year. He will make the PS.

The rest of the players have deficiencies that will keep them off the roster.
Both TE's are undersized
Kelly is a good college player but runs a 4.7 40.
Harmon and Childress are JAG's.

I think Holden is the kind of player who gives your offense an identity. He's the definition of a dog out there, at the receiver position. And having him can help you win games. He's freaking animated out there. You see even the fastest guys not getting the best football speed out of their steps. But he totally does. Guy is explosive.

But he literally spit in another corners face, which is one reason why he's UDFA. But man, this guy's tape is unreal.
Watched him for years at Oregon. Treashon was partly a victim to Will Stein’s offensive scheme and Dan Lanning’s use of the portal.

Tez was the darling for a couple years coming in as Nix’s brother (not biological, but you probably know the story), was an excellent scheme fit for Oregon and was the focus in the passing game. When talented and speedy Evan Stewart came over from A&M, that muddied the waters more for Holden. Not to mention TFerg was a featured target for years and in spite of the quick hit passing reputation, Oregon prefers to run the ball.

Coming into last season, Holden worked hard to improve his quickness and long speed. You could see the results on the field and I can assure you the guy is not immune to hard work.

He should be lumped with Brooks and the like at the receiver position, but with his skill set, it will be up to him if he wants to show he’s better. I have no doubts that he’ll make a few plays the have you guys wondering who this guy is.

For the past year and a half I’ve thought that he could be someone’s surprise at the next level. Don’t worry about the spitting thing. That was an isolated out of character move.

Did his accuser get evaluated immediately after the alleged events?

If she did i can't imagine there wouldn't be fairly clear evidence.

Maybe NFL teams know more about it than we do, and there's good reason they stayed away.

Bond may find himself in prison.

Besides that as a player his production doesn't come close to merit the circus that comes along with him.

The examples you listed had the production to justify the risk.
disagree

I don't know who he is so I can't really speak whether whatever people are saying are true or not but he sounds a whole lot like the smoke people were blowing about Flournoy and what has he done yet?

I want Isaiah Bond
So do I, think he deserves to earn a living until these charges or accusations can be investigated. Dallas looking for high character guys, Jerry of all people should know the difference between being charged and being convicted. He wouldn’t pass the sniff test.

Anyway, Bond is innocent until proven guilty. Low risk high reward.

Understood, and you should feel that way. It’s the exact same smoke until they lace ‘em up to try to prove otherwise.

This isn't Woodstock or stupid in direction...

This period is just teams clearing their draft boards and bringing in anyone left that they had rated
