The team has much better fundamentals when it comes to generating turnovers. They have to work on coverage, but as far as turnovers, even in preseason, we've been generating them more consistently.

Amazing. The Giants are a pretty good team, and I think the Cowboys played about as hard as I have seen in the last fifteen years. People complain because it wasn't 42-10, unfortunately those rarely happen in divisional games, just ask the 'Hawks or Patriots.

The Cowboys won. Was it sloppy? Sure, but there were also awesome moments, namely all the turnovers the defense caused. Divisional games are never easy.

Give me a break. We just beat the Giants and caused six TOs, and two defensive TDs. That's impressive, I don't care what you say.

Despite 5 offensive turners, the Giants offense scored 4TDs, 1 FG.

Dallas offense scored 2TDs, 3 FGs.

Despite the turnovers, their offense did outplay Dallas' offense. You can't rely on 5 turnovers every game. The offense must STILL produce.

3pts off of the first 3 turnovers is NOT good offense. That is not taking advantage of opportunities.

SOme things looked good, but this defense still needs work and the Oline definitely needs work. The offense MUST be able to score points off turnovers.

Wow, I rarely come away from a win feeling like we got lucky. Six turnovers and we still almost lost?? So much for our so called "new" offense. It looked pretty much the same to me, along with the penalties(albeit fewer of them).

The defense was ok, considering we are missing a few players. Thank goodness for Selvie or it could have been the opposite score.

The offense, what to say......I am at a loss for words ATM. NY did bring the house often and the line held up decently, but the play calls left a bit to be desired.

I know a win is a win, especially with these two teams but they have to sharpen and clean it up. Too many short passes for my liking and they need to get Dez more involved, the sooner the better. T. Williams made some good plays and more bad plays, put Harris out there for now.

Two more penalties on Witten, that has to stop! Three points out of the first three turnovers is ridiculous. We got lucky that NY was more of a mess than we were.

Shapen up or it will be a long season :(
Take a hike bro!!!

No. You can't cite the 6th turnover and say we "almost lost" in the same breath. We never trailed, they never had the ball in the second half needing less than a TD to go ahead, and on the two 4th-quarter drives where they were six points behind, they never crossed midfield. And the 6th turnover is what guaranteed that we weren't going to "almost lose".

Don't get me wrong, glad they won a tough division game. All I am saying is that it was not pretty and I expected more, especially from the offense. With six turnovers, it really should have not been that close.

In the past we've lost some close games when we had multiple turnovers. It's better to be on the other side of that for a change. A win is a win.

Hmm. they had a chance to take the lead before we got the 6th turnover late in the fourth, if I am not mistaken.

Do they need to improve, YES... But they beat a division rival and pretty good football team

Yes, they did twice, and didn't cross midfield either time. As I said in text you quoted.

Big win,1-0 in the division.

Was it a pretty win, no. But a lot of people on this board really like to focus on the negative. There were more positives to be found in that game than negatives, starting with the win itself. Our offensive line is exponentially improved over last season and promises to be even better when Waters is worked into the mix. Dez won't be that big of a non-factor in another game this year I can just about guarantee that, yet we win. The turnovers are obviously a beautiful thing to see. How about that defensive line and the cast of misfits playing their hearts out. We escaped 3 big injury scares with Romo, Dez, and Mo. Very nice to see Witten being utilized in the redzone. I think we can consider the special teams fixed btw.

There were negatives, sure. That pass defense has to improve. The offense was out of sync for large periods of the game. You have to give the Giants a lot credit too though. I think people forget sometimes there's another team out there trying to accomplish the same things our team is. Say what you want about Victor Cruz, but that dude can play.

In the end getting wins is what it's all about. We'll have a few ugly losses this year so you better enjoy this. I assure you everything wasn't cake and ice cream for the Ravens last year, yet they hold the trophy. The Superbowl winner is rarely the best team wire to wire anymore, that's just not how the modern NFL works. You have to be able to win ugly and peak at the right time. Mission accomplished ... on to Kansas City.

It's a good win but I don't like how the big picture looks.

We're still way too dumb and sloppy.

Probably looking at 9-7.

It would be very typical of us to come out flat next week and get beat.

4 years ago we turned ball over 5 times and almost won.

See how that works.

I am concerned about Bernadeau and will worry if he gets any more starts going forward. The guy was just awful all night tonight. Hopefully Brain Waters is ready to go next week.

I wasn't impressed by the offense either. Last year, we couldn't score during the first half and came out of the gate looking slow and unprepared on offense. That happened again tonight. Aside from Bernadeau, I think thise O-line did pretty well pass blocking, however.

Terrence Williams, although it was his first game, played bad. He should have been pulled for Harris after he ran the wrong route causing the interception. Some may think that he needs a chance and are glad he got to stay in like he did. I say that he can come along and learn when he gets what he needs to do down. Harris should play more, imo.

I didn't like the call to go to a prevent defense after the pick 6 to allow the Giants to go 80 yards in under 2 minutes, but I've never liked when any team has done that in that situation.

Those are my negative takes on our play tonight. I loved how we created turnovers and if that happens throughout the whole season then look out.

All in all, this was a game at home against the Giants. These games are always crazy and wild. They are shootouts that go down to the wire where things happen that you don't see every day. With that being said, I'm not really worried about anything. I'll take the win against that horrid organization any way we can get it.

I'm really happy about the win, but you guys are crazy if you think we're going to get 6 turnovers every game. The pass defense needs to be better, and the offense has to get out of its own way.

This looks like the same 8-8 team to me.

Great win, and great job by the defense.
