Chad Henning and Jimmie Jones. Unsung heroes on the inside during our Super Bowl run. Made plays for us and allowed Haley to cook. Loved these guys as someone who played 1-Tech in middle school and high school.
Jimmie Jones! His motor never stopped!
Sigh

Personally I think Danny White was the most under appreciated player in Dallas. Very good QB.
Thank you. He made it possible for Troy Aikman to have a career not to follow Staubach and Romo to have a Cowboys QB standard that does not included Super Bowl appearances which Romo never measured up.

They say you never want to be the man to replace the man. White did it best and kept the Cowboys in Super Bowl contention until the Giants broke his wrist.

You can never have success "Up Against The Walls"!

Everson Walls. Grambling senior year 11 interceptions. Cowboys rookie year 11 interceptions. Led the NFL in interceptions 3 times (81, 82, and 85). Has 57 ints. and not in the Ring of Honor.

Then he gives his body for his friend Ron Springs a fellow Dallas Cowboy who needed a kidney.

You know who had 7 interceptions the year Walls had 11 both as rookies? Michael Downs, 6-3-205.

He finished his Cowboys career with 35 interceptions in is 8 years in Dallas. He was the best ball hawking FS the Cowboys have had and need now.

what cowboys player(s) did you feel were under appreciated & you miss them / wish they were on the current team

for me it’s anthony spencer — this guy was solid as a rock on the weak side & never really got his full due for being a cornerstone on some good defenses

some other honorable mentions — marion barber, terence newman & darren woodson (not necessarily unsung but damn we miss him)

Dallas didnt know how to use him

What was there to know? Dallas used Dwayne Harris exactly how he should have been used. They used him as a return specialist and on coverage units and then would sprinkle him in at receiver. That is his role in the NFL. It is also what the Giants did and then the Raiders. There was no mystery in what Harris brought to the table.

Could've used him more at wr and other made up plays. They dont need gadget guys. Never understood the wasted pick on switzer

Why? He was not good enough as a pure receiver. The guys in front of him in Dallas were better than him at that time. He was gadget guy and I assume that is what you mean by "made up plays". His best year as a receiver was with the Giants when he had 36 receptions, but that was because they were desperate for receivers. He followed that up with a 1 reception season. Dallas used him correctly. It is just wrong to think Dallas didn't know how to use him. Romo led the league in passer rating in Harris' last season with the Cowboys and he did that by targeting better receiving threats.
