If they are discussing surgery, then it is probably a grade 3….or close to it. He won’t be back until the Summer workouts.
Tabasco, to those of us with less medical knowledge in this field, if its torn from the bone how can it be repaired without surgery?

Hard to imagine it could reattach or mend with merely rest?

if a 1st rounder can be one, why can't a 4th???
When you're drafted in the 1st, 2nd rounds, you're expected to start and atleast make the team. When you're drafted in the 4th round, they hope that you're still around as a backup player.

But when you're a 4th round player, especially as a quarterback, then place yourself in the top 10 of your position practically every season, become and All Pro and a MVP candidate during your tenure, then that is a bonus because that's not expected from a 4th rounder.

You can name dozens of 1st round busts. Now name me anybody drafted in the 4th round that was considered a bust.

As a matter of fact, we all know Dak isn't elite, but name me other low round drafted quarterbacks besides Tom Brady and maybe another guy here or there that has been drafted in the low rounds, been perennial top ten, become All Pro and MVP candidates and holds team records.

I'll respectfully wait for those names.....

That's fine, but you expect those 4th rounders to contribute and to possibly be starters for you. It's unfair for the expectation level to be the same, I agree!

Now that Dak is sidelined.....he'll still get blamed for everything we've seen all year with this team, going forward. Too funny. Hate does blind.

If it's 8 weeks then might as well call it the season. In fact if it's 6 weeks and we have no chance just call it the season
"If it's 6 weeks and we have no chance call it a season"....

The Cowboys are 3-5, currently 4 games behind Washington. If 6 weeks from now we have a chance then why in the world would you go back to Dak?

That would mean the Cooper Rush led Cowboys would have risen from the hole that Dak put them in to have a chance.

Everyone should just be hoping for the Cowboys to not win another game this year, not win enough games for it to make sense for Dakky Poo to play again.

Well do you think Jerry Jones thinks that way?

Now on surface the logic may make sense but if the Cowboys are to turn it around it would have to be through the defense because we know based on past history that Rush can't carry the offense.

I just don't see this defense turning it around.

What i'm expecting is the same thing that happened last time Dak was hurt and Rush won games.

Rush will simply play smart, take what the defense gives him, extend drives, not put up a crazy amount of points, but have us in every game.

By doing that it will take pressure off the defense, therefore making them look better, because they are not constantly on the field.

Then when all is said and done people will say "the defense carried Rush again" when in reality Rush's style of play made the defense look better.

Remember when Dak came back last time? Dak ended up leading the NFL in INTS while missing 5 games and the defense that looked so good with Rush started to look bad with Dak.

How is it possible for a 4th round picked player to be considered a bust? Make that make sense.....
That dude's a moron...Biggest hater comment of all time..hands down..

I don't know what they're talking about, literally the man has had a couple of close MVP seasons, rookie of the year, man has been part of some #1 offenses, last year he led the league in scoring had little interceptions...

he's so far from a bust, that dude needs to have his count deleted forever, there is no one in this world that would consider Prescott a bust you're picked in the foreground and he's had a great career what his career didn't end with a Super Bowl or make the fans happy neither did Tony Romo these dudes cannot be busts,

you're right not only were low draft picks are undrafted but they're owning a bunch of Dallas cowboy records... I mean do we need to point out that Prescott will probably end up owning every passing record or at least close to it PLus a few key top 5-10 NFL spots,

I mean how could you even be using the word bust maybe disappointment, Some say he's injury prone , hes NOT, hell we can go back and look at a ton more players not only for the Dallas Cowboys but across sports that have missed more games than Prescott has in the same 9 year span, it happens, it's a rough sport...

His mansion will take 12-14 months to build, so it's important for him to be on sight in person and not be preoccupied with throwing the forward pass

No good reason to not play Lance.
I would like to see it happen, just to make sure exactly what we have in Lance.

I've accepted the truth that we won't be competing for SB participation in 2024.

My objective these days is to watch games mainly to discover where we stand.

Just do the surgery, get better and focused on 2025.

This is typical Dallas. They will wait until the last minute before calling it a season, then he will still be hurt into training camp and then it lingers all of next season.

Well all of the things you just described were actually worse with Rush. TOP, scoring, 3rd down conversion, extending drives, passing, yards per catch scoring drives rate, etc. Like I said defense was key key key in giving up 13 points average and even scoring on few occasions.

This take pressure off of defense etc. Is all made up fan stuff. The first time we needed high scoring from offense they fell flat on their face and forcing rush to pass a lot he threw three interceptions.

Given I have zero expectations for this defense to improve significantly and expecting offensive drop off. The future don't look good.

Before you declare victory let's see a couple of games and let him win and carry the team a couple of times.

But given a few people around here don't really understand football and are more TMZ than anything (like yourself) i get where they maybe coming from

It doesn’t have to require surgery(normal people) but when it does heal, it won’t be the same along with future mobility issues. In most cases, athletes do need surgery if they want to continue playing.

Surgery is the best option for anyone though because there is a good chance that it won’t heal properly and/or take a long time without it.

You know what was worse with Dak when he came back?

The turnovers on offense and the defense that "carried Rush".
