It's always amazing to me how many players could never make through waivers to our practice squad. Who knew Dallas was fielding 70 NFL regular season roster quality players in camp this year? Wow, we must be just ridiculously, ridiculously deep. We have friggin Kevin Ogletree as our default 3rd WR, but evidently our 7th or 8th WR that couldn't make our team is going to be a hugely hot commodity around the NFL.
We go through this every year, and the amazing thing is most of these players that people swear wont make it to our practice squad usually end up on our practice squad about 75% of the time. The thing about practice squads is that teams mostly use them for their own roster cuts, because they've already invested time and resources into those players and have a vision for them. The Cowboys aren't the only team who have players who made some nice plays against other teams 3rd and 4th stringers in preseason games.
