How many people actually knew these negotiations were taking place? Now I ask you this. What would happen if that was TO asking for more money before the end of his contract? We have already seen what would happen. This is a cut and dry case of racism in the media. Nice White boy argues contract, no media coverage. The trouble maker black guy wants a new contract and their are helicopters in the air and his agent is giving TV interviews. Our society is just so screwed up.

Nothing random about my fights. Matter a fact, they aren't even fights. I just start shooting and then figure out which dead guy was a mistake due to seeing double from all the McAllen scotch I just downed. :laugh1:

Don't get me wrong... I'm glad to engage in a thoughtful discussion on race relations... but why is it that about once per week we have at least one racism thread?

The whole argument is silly. You only get the coverage if you run your mouth in the media. I do love T.O. now, but that's because he's a new man. He was a jerk-o in Philly and Frisco who used the media to blast his fellow players and team. That's why he got the media coverage. Urlacher is keeping his mouth shut for the most part and not screaming to the media about every little thing he hates.

Urlacher is a leader in the Bears' locker room, and T.O. was a distraction in his contract whining days. Brett Favre is a white guy, and most of the guys in the media are pretty much sick of him and tell their viewers the same thing. So race has nothing to do with anything... it's all attitude.

FWIW-Brian Westbrook wants THIRTY Million guaranteed...DESPITE having THREE years remaining on his current contract.

No-it's not a race thing. But I agree other players on other teams that are whining and crying are getting a free pass, while if any of our Dallas players would do it, the Skip Baylesses, James Hastys, ESPNs, et al of this world would be barking 24/7.

That happened to my brother... he got jumped, and fought off three guys, and apparently punched one of the guys so hard, he knocked him out cold. Cops came, said it wasn't his fault, no charges were filed. 1 year later he gets sued for $50,000 by the family of the guy who jumped him for medical bills. He has to pay $5000 for an attorney to defend himself, wins the case, but can't recover his attorney fees because the family was broke.

Long story short, only in America can you get jumped by hooligans, and it cost you $5000.00.
