US Postal Service mailman of the year

WOW
JJ can't catch...we've seen him drop two swing passes this year...bad hands.
Yeah, and we don't throw to people who drop passes.

Julius Jones (career)
first 21 games: 52 receptions
last 16 games (2006): 9 receptions

Funny how when Payton was OC, JJ knew how to catch.

That whole series of events embodies the failed Parcells regime more than any other- and then him saying he was going to take KevJo over Jackson proved how much of a geezer fool he really was.
If he was going to take Kevin Jones over Jackson, then maybe the game has passed him by.

Who was it that said "if your playing two, you don't have one."?

John Madden says this alot. Especially about QB's

And did anyone notice Roys pass defense on Detriots two point conversion? Hit him in both hands but he dropped it. IF he had caught that, it didn't look like he could've been caught running the other way.

Roy knocked the ball down on purpose, the pro game does not have the college rule-you can't return it for 2 points.

So it can't be returned for a TD? That one I didn't know.

And understand, I'm not trying to bash Roy, I just think that if we used the right sceme, alot of our defensive players would look like All Pros. We do have alot of talent on that side of the ball that just isn't getting used properly.

I still wonder why we kept Zimmer when he had a chance to leave. Maybe Parcells thought that he saw something in him, what ever that could be.

Aside from Parcells and Zimmer, I think Julius' act (at least for me) is getting REAL old.

I am SO SICK of seeing him run STRAIGHT INTO A PILE. I mean, what the hell is that? I never liked the choice from day one, but I thought for a while I might have been wrong about it. (Granted, the OL's run blocking is terrible, but Barber looks a lot better behind it than JJ)

Fact is, he had a couple real solid games early in his career, and now he looks pitiful at times.

He does absolutely nothing for me and for those select few (Dbair) who would rather have Julius over Steven Jackson need their head examined asap.

He actually had some downright spectacular games early on, that's what makes his lack of production lately so dissappointing.

Think JJ'd feel a little more "involved" if we took some of the 152 passes targeted for Owens, and sent them his way?

Oh and he's a great third down back too...

But Coach Flintstone has gone on and on about how in today's NFL, you can't do it with just one back anymore.

You know every time I hear BP say that makes me wonder what would happen if a small back like say Emmitt Smith were to fall in his hands? I am sure Emmitt would never have been the all time rusher or highly thought of.

I also think he was better when he was lighter. He looks sluggish to me.

I think you are right. And although I did not know anything about Jackson, or Julius or Kevin Jones, I was dissappointed when they traded down.

IMO, when you have a need and the best player at that position in the draft surprisingly falls to you, you have to take him.

Steven Jackson fell right into our laps........it was unreal. I was unbelievably pissed. Just thinking about it makes me ill.

So did Shawn Merriman,,, Parcels could of litterly got Merriman and Ware in the same draft...

Ware is a monster but drafted aweful high, But missing on Stephen Jackson, and Merriman then taken a TE in 2006 really has everyone wondering......How much more of Bill Parecells grocery shopping can Jerry Jones stand...

I don't think so. If we would have taken Merriman, Ware would have been long gone by the time we get on the clock again.

I'm not defending the guy because I am a bigger MB3 fan than that of JJ. However, Parcells coached him to follow his blockers instead of using his instincts. Parcells totally got into his mind between 2004 and today. He does what Parcells wants him to do. It's really quite sickening to watch. You don't take a RB that's known for freestyling to get those extra yards and mold him into a strictly north/south follow those blocks kinda guy. Parcells took away his freedom in the backfield.

Fore the record, I also would have much rather had Stephen Jackson. However, as people often say, we're speaking in hindsight which is always 20/20.

theres no way he could of changed julius that much... dude julius just isnt a good rb. face it.

Which is exactly what Steven Jackson is, a patient runner that follows his blockers and runs with power.:bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

What really steams me is that Jackson just ran CRAZY over the Minnesota Vikings who had the #1 run defense in the NFL, or used to... I don't know if that matters now.

But Dallas gets a chance at several teams with VERY POOR run defenses and Dallas can do NOTHING!!! Indy, NO, Philly, Atlanta... Julius Jones can do nothing... run blocking is a mystery in Dallas... What freakin gives!!??

I'm on record here..........."there is no doubt in my mind, whatsoever, that Marcus Spears is a bust........none."

Not much doubt for me either. Another wasted 1st round pick for the Cowboys.

This franchise is not much better than when Bill first got here.

He clearly has lost this team.

I agree. The team is marginally better than when Bill got here but how can it not be?

This team was so bad my Aunt Ruth could have made it better.

As some will remember, I was against Spears and his laziness from the second we drafted him.

Oh well.

Hopefully, change is on the horizon.
