Oh for goodness sakes! They have a cap. The money spent on anything else is irrelevant to the cap.

Some of these posts are beyond ridiculous.

You have a very basic understanding of the cap if you think it can't be manipulated with truckloads of cash to a team's benefit

Teams have to put up every dollar pledged in guarantees into a bank account.....some teams don't have the 50m in cash just lying around like DAL does...they could use it to an advantage but they don't

they can also give huge signing bonuses to lessen the cap hit and restructure all their contracts to create even more room...they could spend 150% of the cap indefinitely...our old friend XWalker used to put up a spreadsheet showing how easily it could be done

The salary cap is a speed bump, not a barb wired fence but DAL has the fanbase sold on acting like a small market team is better than acting like the largest revenue team in sports....they keep more of the profits and you guys not only accept it but berate those that actual complain about it...it is bizarro world

it was LAUGHABLE how many sheep bought the "we cannot afford" DeMarco Murray. Whether he was worth it....was being overpaid by Philly.....left yards on the field is not a debate I am going to get into. But way too many of my fellow Cowboy fans both on this board and in my personal life kept going and on about how re-signing him for market value would RUIN our cap. LAUGHABLE.

look how easily PHI got out of the deal and actually got draft picks out of it.....enough to couple together to go up and get Wentz

Considering the last place was old and dangerous, I like what they are doing. The practice facility collapse likely triggered this but it will have ancillary benefits as well.

I see this helping the coaches quite a bit with updated film, meeting, and training rooms, offices and the like with all the bells and whistles.

Do they have a cap on resources and time and effort and efficiency?

I mean, how many hats can the Jones' wear and be effective with the on field product?

Where is it that they inevitably hit the ceiling juggling all this external stuff to putting a team together?

What's next.........a zoo?

Why even make posts like this? It'll translate to wins as much as any training facility translates to wins. It's not a thread about the football product. It's a thread about the training facility. Some of you guys are so uptight you've lost the ability to separate topics almost completely.

shhh they are busy eating it up.

When old Jerry Jr started to tear up about his Daddy and winning. I spit up my beer and laughed to tears. Funny how that family has just buried Jimmy Johnson, but they'll talk about coach Landry all day. You know the same guy who got fired by Jerry Jones.

So done with the Jones family.

This is a strawman argument. As long as they have the money to spend on the cap, and we are always near the max, then there is no argument for or against spending money elsewhere. I'm glad they are spending the money on facilities. It may not create a championship in and of itself but there are myriad benefits for having a state of the art facility for training.

Thinking they can't chew gum and walk at the same time is not a very good argument.

Dude sitting next to her has quite the look on his face. Like he's saying, "Keep yapping, I'm gonna hit that tonight!" Really hope it isn't her brother.

It looked more like "I got into Pop's Johnny Walker and I only had half the bottle how can Pop finish a whole one."
