Will someone on this coaching staff PLEASE watch tape of Sproles. Then, implement some plays designed for Duece. He has all the same skill sets. Here’s a thought… maybe think outside the box and have Luepke and Duece in the backfield… give it to either, screen to either.. we need creative mis matches. Another jet sweep or curl route and my head will explode.
that would be worth a try, but it wont happen under MM and coach Jerry.
For 1 thing I dont think MM wanted vaughn, and he wont play him more than 2 plays a game running him through the line lol.
A rb has to get 20-25 carries a game to truly see what they have.

MM wouldnt give vaughn carries in the PS, giving him a few at the end of a game lol

Luepke has shown he is good, and versatile, yet after elliot whined about his carries, they didnt use luepke in
the detroit game.

Deuce is just wasting a roster spot. We’re 6 games into the season and he’s only carried the ball 7 times for 20 yards, averaging 2.9.
Deuce and Zeke are both wasting roster spots. Do Zeke even play special teams? I mean this guy is just collecting a check right now lol.

That's the problem. There is no way to Use him that makes sense. If all he can do is a swing or screen pass then he is useless. He can't run between the tackles. He is not all that fast so out side zone or sweeps are not very good for him either. He can't pass block. What made Sproles so good is that he was an actual running back that didn't have to be "used" a certain way to be effective.
And it just couldn't be the lack of blocking this team displays? All our backs are struggling. I( just think it is a small sample size to pass him off as a wasted pick. But if what you say is true then Deuce should make way for another.

Nope, MM has zero clue how to put speed in space.

We’re just keeping both of them around in case of injuries. Dowdle has had injury issues.

And @big dog cowboy since I can’t quote two people on mobile

He’s going to end up back in Kansas with the Chiefs and become a monster.
Please don't let that happen! Holy moly that would be so bad. Living in Chef territory is bad enough already.

But you are right. Andy Reid would love a weapon like Vaughn. And getting him as a FA? Mercy.

In 2 seasons he’s had 30 carries for 60 yards. It wouldn’t matter how they use him. He’s not big enough and can’t block.
There is 3 seasons of video on YouTube that prove you wrong.

There’s almost a season and a half of NFL video that proves me right. If he was anything special in college, he would’ve been drafted a lot higher than the sixth round. He wasn’t even our first sixth round pick. He wasn’t drafted higher because of his size and his size and the fact that he hasn’t made any plays when given opportunities is keeping him off the field in the NFL. He’ll end up in the UFL.
