Damone Clark has been in every meeting, studied every tape and been around every practice absorbing mentally every aspect of playing LB for the Cowboys. He should be able to do just fine if asked to fill in at middle LB for LVE this 1 game against the Texans. This also opens the door for Jabril Cox to come off the weekly inactive list and use his athleticism, speed and coverage skills as an outside LB. Cowboys also have Anthony Barr and Luke Gifford as veteran backups if needed.

LVE will not be missed, making tackles 8-10 yards deep just means he made a lot of tackles. So don't bring in the number of tackles a guy makes. They should be made at the line of scrimmage or within a couple of yards. I was a fan of LVE early on, but not that much lately.

I agree for rest. But he would be needed this week. Pierce is a wrecking ball. I feel Clark and Cox should fill in nicely, but I just over worry lol

It'll be Clark and Barr. LVE and Clark were playing while Barr was out. Absolutely loving this depth.

Nobody wants to admit it, but he has had a solid season and most importantly has stayed healthy

He's been decent at best, especially when in space and off ball coverage
But he has issues physically head on and finding the proper run gaps and vs traffic.

'Solid' would mean you'd have no problem with him returning as a starter.
Not me, we need to have an upgrade here.

I wouldn't say nobody wants to admit it. A lot of us have been talking about what a solid season he's having. There are just a few of the more obnoxious...sorry, "vocal"...posters who constantly rip on him, when it seems like they're watching last year's earlier games.

He has been having a solid season. That being said, we're thin at the position as it is. Is he as bad as some say? No. Is he as good as some say? No. He's been decent though. He'll be missed on the field.

Before this season I was willing to give up on him, but I think Parson's injected new motivation and life into him.

I have no problem with him returning at a price. The problem is I like our stars and rookies strategy. I don’t want us to pay mid-tier players.

One thing for sure, maybe an answer to the LVE critics, although not sure if the worst team in the NFL is a fair test.
