Not our fault they run him up the middle and didn't get o line help
They weren’t using him right. They should try using him in the passing game to give him some space where he can maneuver. He’s not going to be very effective running between the tackles. He simply doesn’t have the size to break tackles and run over people. There’s a lot of limitations with him. He can’t block and he doesn’t play special teams which was the reason McCarthy gave for why he didn’t suit out last week.

Any RB that can't block is just extremely limited.

Folks say "get him in space". Wouldn't that apply to any RB? Or WR for that matter?

Defenses know what his limitations are. The playbook is smaller when he's in.

.. . ..that's two games in row. Dallas might not play this guy again.

Now that offense is finding its groove without him. Trade the guy.
Is this where we rue a 6th round pick not starting?

The guy is 5’4. Richard Sherman was a fifth round pick how long did he take to develop.
Picking one of the best 5th round picks ever for a comparison is gratuitous. Landry and Parcells both said 3 years to develop.

I was wrong btw, Vaughn was a 6th round pick.

Vaughn was not using his quickness to make people miss as he did in college. That screams that he needs to adjust to the speed of the game. Like I said, I am down for patience.

Disagree.

When he plays he will shine because he’s a good football player.

Can’t produce with no opportunity.
Agree. I'm a Vaughn believer.
The trick with backup RBs is that they have to play special teams. And that role goes to Turpin. So unless Turpin or Rico get hurt, you probably will not see much of Deuce for a while.

I think you give him a year in weight room to get stronger. Give him a year to get the speed of the game down and we will see a better version of him in a year maybe 2. after 3rd year if its the same thing, then yes cut him trade him something.

how do we know if an NFL team would've eventually drafted him later on ?

And that's mute point since he showed out for us and displayed what kind of role, specialty
he could've been in preseason action.
Of course we don't know that.

We do know we wanted him more than them...and so what do we have to show for it.

I do agree ....should have seen more early on.

He doesn't have more of an impact over other players to play.

... .we dont have the system for him. Turps, Pollard, Dowdle, Lupeke are enough.
Lupeke we hardly use ( we should use him more for short yardage runs - so that we can fake it also occasionally), Dowdle showed a bit more than pollard with his punishing the tackler style , may be more suited for those in the middle runs .

The pick was complete nepotism. I got wrapped up in the pre-season hype but it's becoming obvious he doesn't have it.

This is a fan problem. Certain fans got overhype about him and dubbed him the next Barry Sanders. He has had lackluster performances when he did get some playing time, in fact he cause two sacks in his initial outing. he will stick around for 2 more seasons, but I doubt we see him in action again until next preseason. AT this point he is just not good enough to take snaps away from others who are doing much better. Maybe next year after some time in a NFL weight room and lots of work with coaches and playbook.

...Dallas offense now, making a case. Things are evolving. Gonna take more creativity, that's for sure.

To fit him in.

Cut Gallup. Give Deuce plenty of practice time at KR/PR as Turpin starts to get much more time at WR and possible injury.

I hope they don’t give up on him yet. Frankly I blame the OL which has be absolute garbage. I also blame Schottenheimer who has a long demonstrable history of being a total dud OC. Zero creativity and Deuce needs an OC to be creative.
