I’m totally ok with that.

How did our other picks between 5th and 7th round or free agents do today?

Yeah, you and Rambo2 gave me a lot of crap but I told you both it wasn’t going to go down the way you two thought with Vaughn. I told a lot of fans that. At least you’re man enough to give me a few props. Usually when I prove someone wrong, they disappear. Rambo won’t acknowledge me, but I was a little tougher on him than I was with you. Lol
It's all good. I don't think the Cowboys are giving up on DV just yet, but I'll concede it would be a challenge (barring Injury) of getting him on the field this season. First I don't think the Cowboys are great at run-blocking. Plus DV isn't going to get on the field if they can't trust him as a pass blocker. Those two things alone are going to render him as a gadget player which just doesn't work. But you never know...the season is still young. But I'll also agree that given the current circumstances, I think the Cowboys would be better served getting a bigger power-back if they can find or trade for one.

As long as he’s still on the team, they haven’t given up, but it’s not looking good. Appears whatever plan they had for him entering the season has gone out the window. I think he’ll end up in the XFL/USFL next year.

LOL anything is possible...but I doubt that. DV's shortcomings aren't going to get solved by playing in the USFL and the Cowboys aren't going to give up on him that quickly. In fact, I'm still willing to bet that if any RB is not going to be back next season, it's Pollard. I predict the starting RB next season will be drafted in the early rounds next season.

Probably realized he made a mistake playing for this team and is trying to get traded/dropped so a better team can pick him up and use him and his accolades properly.
A better team, why do you think there a better team lol

Don’t doubt me. Lol The USFL gives him an opportunity to actually play and show what he can do. Turpin was given an opportunity with the Cowboys, because of the plays he made in the USFL. As for Pollard, he won’t be back next season. I’m already on record with that one. The Cowboys may make him a reasonable offer and allow him to test free agency.

He is what he is. A 6th round pick slash undersized running back.

If you said a team would draft a RB in the 6th round, he'd make the team, but would be a healthy scratch most weeks, I think every fan of any NFL team would say that sounds about right.

Too many here bought into the Jones hype and the story. I recall quite a few here thinking the Cowboys just outsmarted the league. Stop falling for it.

Bland is the player we should be giving the FO credit for. This is a guy that was an All-American at FCS-level Sacramento State in 2019, didn't play in 2020 (COVID), and played one year at Fresno State. He was so much of an unknown that Jerry kept referring to him as "the safety" in all of his draft and pre-season press conferences.

The further the team gets away Jerry's influence and insistence on playing football guy, the better this team does. He loses interest after the 2nd round and it allows the scouts to do their thing.

.. . ..that's two games in row. Dallas might not play this guy again.

Now that offense is finding its groove without him. Trade the guy.
He'd young...give it time. I saw him up close and personal....he can play

Aaron Jones has 7 carries. SEVEN.

Packers don't want him. Send Pollard AND Vaughn to GB for Jones and bring up Malik Davis from the PS

Trade him to who? Willy Wonka?
Teams have to accept whatever garbage we offer in a trade, for whatever absurd price we want for said garbage. Don't you know that?

Can't believe obody has suggested we could get a 3rd round puck for him yet.

I don't know what everyone was expecting from a 6th round draft pick when there were already a few guys in front of him.

It's not Vaughn.
It's the the coaches.

Some can knock and hate on Vaughn as much as they like.
But we have the wrong coaches, ..wrong system, ..wrong scheme for Deuce.

- Our coaches knew what they were getting with his skill set and limited size.
it's been smallish backs that had some success in a certain roles.
Warrick Dunn, Darren Sproles, Dave Meggett Jacquizz Rodgers.

- But the very same way those same coaches want to force Pollard to be a pounding bell cow,
and simply dunno how to scheme or develop Pollard's own receiving skills as a pass receiver.
those same coaches that dunno how to devise role scheme for Vaughn as a nickel back.
We're so mediocre with the way we use our RBs in pass game.
Where are the RB screens ?

- We've apparently even gave up on him as a backup returner on special teams.
If Turpin were to get hurt, who then becomes our immediate punt returner with experience ?
