I appreciate all the optimism around the player but the unfortunate reality is the likelihood he is anything more than a backup or situational player is pretty slim.

Hoping he does well but If I had to bet on the guy I'd give him a year or two on the practice squad, maybe the occasional call up and then out of the league.

Just being realistic

Maybe, to start with, but at least he's going to have more chance than when KM was here. I suppose this is why the organization wanted a blocking TE and drafted a FB, to assist.

Only reason he fell is his size, and it could be a legit reason, but his talent and production against big schools is undeniable.
Obviously he is not going to carry the load, but there is no reason we cannot use him in both passing game as well as running at times. In the right scheme, he can easiybe more than just a situational player.

Indeed, which podcast queried which round he's of gone in if he were 2/3 inches taller.

I sure hope so, but there is certainly a reason that substantially undersized rbs aren't the norm...

Hoping for the best with this guy
