Good point, IMO the most important thing is that Jones is one of those guys like Frederick that is off the charts intelligent (by NFL standards). I've seen articles that say he already knows all the assignments for both CB positions and the FS position. Frederick wasn't overwhelmed by the transition to the NFL and his intelligence was part of that. Jones should have the same kind of quick adjustment.

So basically you're saying we're not drafting dummies.

Man I hope they don't mess this guy's development up by having him move all over the field. They need to find a role for him and let him work at it.

Let him learn some new positions where it doesn't count if he makes a mistake.

Sounds like Romo is rusty to start. Missing guys in the flat and multiple INTs. Can't afford for him to take 2.5 games to get back in the swing of things like last year with 2 NFC East opponents to start.

Back obviously isn't a concern but being 35-36 is..

I just did a quick search and didn't find anything at the top of the list. One DC.com article mentions him learning his assignments quickly, the article I was thinking of is probably somewhere on Dc.com or DMN.com.

Byron Jones -- He's making his way onto the roster and into our hearts.

Obviously, the scouts & coaches have been impressed enough by Jone's ability to learn multiple positions quickly, or they wouldn't be moving him around as much. That could really screw with the rookies' head. In the end, my sense is that Jones will be used as a ball-hawking center fielder as our CB corps improves. Man, we haven't had one of those in ages. It would turn this defense into something special. Look what Reed & Polamalu did for their respective teams.
