Fails routine probation drug test done basically for the people who will be sentencing him.

He knew he'd be tested and did it anyway.

Incredibly stupid. Almost sad, really.

Well, what are they going to do to him? Suspend him from Football, take all his money away and send him to jail?

;)

Hey if I was about to be put away for a long time I would be getting stoned as well. The Feds right now is only the tip of the iceberg yesterday the Virginia grand jury indicted him so he will be looking at more time. Vick football career is gone

Let's leave my pal, Iceberg, out of this, OK?
And don't be talking about his tip. You can't see it when he wears a hat.

Uhh.... this could mean an extra year or two in jail.

There are sentencing guidelines for what he pled to in this case. The Prosecutor was going to recommend 18 months. The federal judge in Richmond had final say on what it would be. This judge's history shows that the majority of time, he gives the maximum sentence. The belief was that if Vick was on his best behavior and sufficiently apologetic and remorseful, that the Judge would consider the prosecutor's recommendation.

However, with this test--which clearly indicates illegal activity--the judge is going to consider that in determining the sentence and is not going to likely be as lenient as the 18 month plea.

I can see this taking his plea from 18 months to 30 months. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised by the entire 5 years if this judge is truly as much of a hardass as his history suggests.

Frankly if I'm Vick right now I'm figuring a way out of the country with some of my money. He probably can't do that because his money is tied up or the Govt is keeping track of it to prevent him just doing that but still......

Special conditions placed on Vick after positive marijuana test

Updated: September 26, 2007, 1:04 PM ET

A urine sample submitted by Michael Vick has tested positive for marijuana, and as a result he'll have tighter restrictions on his freedom.

The test was taken on Sept. 13. Because of the positive test, federal court probation officer Patricia Locket-Ross, who is assigned to Vick, asked Judge Henry Hudson to place special conditions on Vick's release, which include refraining from use or unlawful possession of a narcotic drug or other controlled substance.

Also, Vick must submit to any method of testing at any time.

Methods of testing could include urine testing, the wearing of a "sweat patch," a remote alcohol testing system and/or any form of prohibited substance screening or testing.

Vick must also participate in a program of inpatient or outpatient substance therapy and mental health counseling if the pretrial services officer or supervising officer deem it appropriate.

Vick is also now restricted to his residence every day from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. or as directed by the pretrial services officer. The home confinement will include electronic monitoring.

Vick pleaded guilty in August to a federal dogfighting charge. He is set to be sentenced on Dec. 10.

On Tuesday, he was indicted by a grand jury in Surry County, Va., on state dogfighting charges.

Wow, this just continues to go downhill. I feel like I'm watching a train wreck in slow motion. You know it's going to be bad but you can't stop watching.
