Victor Butler, Pass Rush Specialist

I'm not buying any of that "tired" crap for the OLBs and pass rush. They were hardly on the freakin' field in the second half...it was mostly 3 and outs. Tired legs? Spencer relieved Ellis last year most of the time...very seldom did Ware come off the field, and he was stuck on the field a lot more than last night.

Those LBs for Carolina had much more reason to be tired than our guys, but they were freakin' bringing it all night. DWare will be fine, I hope, if he isn't injured...based on last season, he's the best pass-rushing OLB in the game, but if the vote were only taken based on the first 3 games, he wouldn't get honorable mention.

Beason was a freakin' beast last night.

There was a reason why we drafted Butler and BWill in the 4th this year, Ellis was starting to tail off, I would probably guess he still is being blocked 1 on 1 in Oakland this year. Butler and BWill each led their conference (I think) in sacks. Butler is athletic enough to play OLB every down where BWill is more of a 2 down guy like Spencer is. Spencer will never be a 10 sack per year superstar IMO, but he will be more than solid against the run and in coverage and still get 4-9 sacks every year. Having a rotation like Ware/Spencer/Butler/BWill go old and develop together, our OLB's will be fresh every game, making the pass rush and essentially the defense that much better each game.

Give them time. Butler will probably be the new nickel and dime guy at one DE spot.

I can't wait to get JWill back at ILB too, his potential to be a disruptive 3 down ILB has me excited to see him when he gets back.

Butler is the real deal. That was pure athleticism and determination he showed to just run right by the OT like he wasn't even there. I don't know what the hell is up with Ware. He used to do that, but now he gets off the line slow and engages with the Tackle everytime before trying to get around him.

I've liked Butler from the second I heard his phone call with Jerry Jones.

He was out running some mountain or something the day of the draft.

The guy is one of those hard workers that Dallas has put an emphasis on drafting.

V.Butler made D. Ware look as if he was walking to the quarterback.

dware=every snap

butler=3

great effort by the guy but he was as fresh as fresh can be on the last series which helped alot. now if he brings that heat everytime after getting more snaps against fresher opponents that will be awesome
