Victoria Secret In Cowboys Stadium

Why is anyone complaining about this again?

We're easily the most valuable franchise in the NFL thanks in part to our impressive marketing. #1. Because we're the Dallas Cowboys, aka America's Team.

I suggest you go root for Buffalo if you don't like it.

Wake me when trophies are handed out for having the biggest checkbook.

I already said this in the original thread, but this store isn't the same thing you see in the mall. I don't think people are understanding it.

It is a Victoria Secret Pink store, they will sell Cowboys women apparel. It's not going to be panties and bras everywhere. If you get the Cowboys merchandise magazines in the mail, they already have 2-3 pages of Victoria Secret product already, it is Cowboys clothing, like t-shirts,shorts,sweatpants, tank tops.

This is the start of the stadium turning into a shopping mall. Like it or hate it, it's brilliant. Turn it into a mall and it makes money 7/365.

People like to complain about everything.

Guess what, the Dallas Cowboys have always been like that. Tex Shramm was the first GM to use professional cheerleaders, the crowds at Texas Stadium were always known to be less rowdy that in other places to say the least, they used the infamous green pants to look better on tv, etc.

And you know what, they are arguably the most succesful organization in the history of the NFL, on and off the field.

This is what the Cowboys have always done.

this is what people mean when they say the franchise is soft from top to bottom.

If Lil Danny did this first in Washington he would be be mocked mercilessly. Here, not so much.

Bottom line is its example 1032123A of a GM who spends way too much time with things that don't actually involve football.

ive been to a flames game in calgary and it was pretty intense. everyone was solely into the game and wore the same colors. unfortunately in dallas we have a lot of $30k millionares who use sporting events to be seen.

Calgary is different in that regard. In Vancouver most wear fan gear (hell even we road fans that go only to see Canadiens, wear our Canadiens' fan gear to the games) but there are many of the nouveau riches there only to be seen.

Now the Cheerleaders won't have far to go for the pushups to make their skank outfits look even better.

So do you hate the outfits or is it women in general that you hate?

The big difference here, actually all the difference in the world, was Gil Brandt, a man who was ahead of his time in player scouting methodology and fulfilled many of the duties that would be handled by a GM today. Schramm was more focused on promoting the Cowboys brand and trying to make the team larger than life. Where did that leave Murchison? Well he owned...and since owning the team while making money was all he aspired to do, he wisely left the marketing and football decisions in the hands of competent football men.

And that is what makes a great owner.

I live in steeler country. I have to hear about every steeler win and every Dallas loss.

So let me put it to you this way, .. this is how this is viewed outside of Dallas.

The steelers play on a dirty, muddy field, .. make the playoffs every year and win Super Bowls.

The Cowboys play in a glass house, with plastic grass that now sells womens underwear, ... and can't make the playoffs.

Just more Jerry nonsense. At this point there can't possibly be a soul over the age of 5 that doesn't know Jerry will do almost anything to make money.

Real NFL Dallas Cowboy fans will hate Jerry’s World. It’s not about football.

There we go. If someone doesn't agree with you, question their fanhood.

Somehow I remain oblivious as to how this is a loathsome quality and pretty much embrace the same mindset? But then again, I don't have to get up on weekday mornings and drive to a cubicle.

Not your fanhood but your focus and passion for the Cowboys. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not a big deal. But it is bothersome to see your general manager doing so many other things that don’t relate to winning football games while your QB is getting killed because he is playing behind a junior high school offensive line.

Right now, i don’t believe Jerry Jones will ever hold another Lombardi Trophy.

Awesome. Look forward to taking my lady friend there for some gear for my enjoym--I mean, er, for her.
