From a business standpoint its genius. From a male point of view I can understand why guys would relate that with the football team and think "soft" or some other words. I asked my wife and she said from a female point of view it would bring more women to games and they would want to buy the clothes. Then she says just think of it as a win-win if the Cowboys win that week.

Ticket sales aren't hurting and I'm just assuming that there are other Victoria Secret stores somewhere in the area.

How many men would go to the hair salon with their wives just because the hair salon started serving buffalo wings?

I wouldn't. Why would I go to a place I am not interested in at all just because they offer one thing that appeals to me when I can get that one thing from another place that has about a dozen more things that interest me?

Why would a woman willingly choose to go to Cowboys Stadium when they could go to the mall and shop at a dozen other stores while they are there?

Furthermore, Dallas plays 8 games there per year. Even if the store could make 1M per game, that's a drop in the bucket of the 400M or whatever it is Dallas pulls in.

But then again, this isn't about the actual team. It's about the venue and the decision was made because of all the other events that go on throughout the year.

We're easily the most valuable franchise in the NFL thanks in part to our impressive marketing. #1. Because we're the Dallas Cowboys, aka America's Team.

It's never bothered me when fans say "we" as it pertains to rooting interest on the field. Sometimes I do it myself. Having said that, I have to draw the line somewhere. Until I receive my first dividend check, this will be that somewhere.

store is only a small part of the bigger picture of jerry, his priorities, and the stadium. his chosen to commercialize the hell out of the stadium instead of making it a true home field.

I agree with Zordon. It's just another distraction for the fans. You should go to Cowboys Stadium to watch a football game not go shopping. That's what they have malls for.

hockey fans are a lot more in tuned with their sport. you don't find many casual hockey fans, most are hardcore about their team. nfl/cowboys on the other hand have a lot and he's catering right into their wish-washy interests instead of making the football game the main focal point of the stadium.

ive been to a flames game in calgary and it was pretty intense. everyone was solely into the game and wore the same colors. unfortunately in dallas we have a lot of $30k millionares who use sporting events to be seen.

As long as your business isn't winning football games. Man, winning in the NFL is hard -- most GMs are probably putting in 60-80 hours a week during many parts of the season.

I don't see how it is possible Jerry can handle his responsibilities as owner AND do the job required as GM.
