If this wasn't such lame sportsmanship, why does it not happen more often?

Since 2001, only seven teams have scored a touchdown on a fourth-down play in the final five minutes of the game, while they're already leading by 20 or more. The Vikings' final TD is the first of those to occur on a pass, and the first to occur in a playoff game.

Oh, maybe it's because EVERY other coach that led by 20+ pts in the last 5 minutes of a playoff game DID NOT throw a TD pass !!

I think I read where it has happened only twice in NFL history in the last two minutes.

Now try and tell me it was not classless.

The Cowboys are a proud team. Brooking is a proud player. He really loves his coach and teammates. He was right to be upset. His defense has a ton of pride. They play hard.

There is absolutely no excuse for running a PLAY ACTION PASS on 4th and 3 when your team is up 27-3, with around 2 minutes left to play.

The Cowboys were whipped.

Go ahead and play that way. Go ahead. We will meet again. Kick us when we are down. Ask the Eagles how that worked out for them this year.

It was disrespectful to the game of football and the other team.

Most coaches would have run the football in that situation. There is a such thing as an "old school" code in football.

It says that you win with class and show good sportsmanship.

The Vikings had proven their point.

Yes, and we called a simple bootleg route and told Romo to eat the sack if there was nothing there and not try to force it. Romo wasn't throwing towards the end zone.

The point of the play was to get the first down and run the clock out, rather than putting your defense back on the field. We weren't trying to show up our opponent by making it 31-0.

I have to agree with Troy. Brooking's outburst was embarrassing.
