Guys stand up by pushing off of someone on the ground all the time. By the end of a game you are freaking in pain. You'll take advantage of any boost up. There is nothing out of the ordinary about that play that would cause Minny to decide to run it up.
I agree. a friend emailed me this video a day after the game and asked what I thought about it. I had no idea what he was talking about. he says "you didn't notice Keith holding the Viking player down with his forearm?". I just shook my head laughing. either way this whole thing has grown old and i'm sick of talking about it. I'm already looking forward to the draft. Morgan Burnett in round 2, baby!.......championship!:D

Blah, ill take the side of the Dallas Cowboys and Brooking. Vikings are classless, their comments after the game proved that point even without the obvious running up the score.

Brooking was mad, which is ok when you just got your *** kicked. So I don't mind the reaction on the field. But to repeat that after the game is stupid. Especially stupid for a guy who does this "stomp on them" thing before the game. Just shut up and play the game. If you don't like them to score then stop them. I don't cry about it. It's not that they faked a kneel or something like this. They just played the game which (the last time I checked) is played 60 minutes.

Seriously, this is professional sport and we really talk about the fairness of scoring? We should talk about punting down 17 with 12 minutes to play. that's what is embarassing to me.

Just because it's fun let's all take a look at this play.

This is the play right before the TD (and I left the volume on the slo-mo replay because we want to have fun here and Joe Buck sounds drunk on it).

What is your take on this play...

I see a frustrated Keith Brooking helping out Newman on the tackle.

Then I see a frustrated Keith Brooking with his elbow in the neck of a Vikes WR and him getting up from this WWE move so slowly that the ref comes jogging over and helps him off the Vikes WR.

What do you see?

(remember, we are all Cowboys fans and we all love each other)

I see a linebacker being physical with a WR, I didnt see a personal foul so I dont know what you are crying about here???

Yea he had his arm on the guys back, but that is no different than a DE sitting on top of a QB after a sack and not getting up until an official walks over. This is not women's flag football here, this is a contact sport and I didnt see any personal fouls or taunting (which the Vikes were actually flag for in the game), so I ask again, "what are you crying about here"????

My point wasn't about them running it up based on that play.

I was pointing out that Brooking was frustrated.

And pissed. And annoyed. And mad.

So I get it. He was emotional.

But what comes around goes around.

Take the beating and go get them next time.

His barking on the field wasn't even a big deal.

But then going into the locker room and talking about it again. Ahhh, he could have done without that.

And it was a no brainer that you weren't going to agree that Brooking is 'giving him the business' in the video.
You're right, I wasn't going to agree with that, because it is no big deal. I guarantee you there is footage of an opposing player doing that to one of our guys and I do not consider it giving us the business. If I had a dollar for every time I was on the ground and someone used me to push themselves up off the ground we could have a fine lunch and leave a great tip.

It's football, not ballet.

By the way, I also come from the school of thought that you don't help your opponent up off the ground...ever. They don't help you up either. Niceties are for after the game is over.

Crying my ***.

Dude don't take it so serious. It's over. The Boys get a crack at them again next season. Hopefully they play as a team to their potential and the out come is different.

No matter what the score was our three points wasn't enough.

I don't believe any team coached by Wade Phillips would run up the score on any team. He's too nice a guy and respectful. To suggest we run up the score on the Eagles is a joke. Though I wouldn't expect much else from a Commander fan.

We'll get our chance next season against the Vikes and I'd bet if we were in the same position we run out the clock. It'll be a good measuring stick for the team.

Finally, to say I'm sick of Brett Favre is an understatement. Retire already...to the hood!

Maybe he'll get another ring this year and ride off back to his ranch.
He's had a pretty good career.

I wanna see the Vikings be the first team to lose 5. I have nothing against Favre. One of the best I have ever seen.

Maybe that's why they lost the game, take a jailhouse beatdown and be laughing and smiling! I'll take Brookings reaction anyday over that, actually it would have been nice to have see a few more players a bit pissed too!

I totally agree. You know I still remember Emmitt on the bench after the lost to SF in the championship game crying and he and Mike making a promise to not let that happen again. What ever happen to those kind of players?
