Now, there is a great role model for all the children standing around him.
I think this team has some coaching issues right now, but is that really the way to act around children?
He should have jumped the rail and hopped on the bus and chewed out some players, too. At the end of the day, they are on the field. If some of them bought their own hype and over rated their skills, it is their own fault. Those players have no one to blame but themselves. They are adults. Plus, those same adults have lost 2 straight playoff games. They have no right or reason to be over confident. If this is the case with some players or coaches, they are naive.
Letting Clinton Portis truck you and having 12 men on the field is on the players. Is someone supposed to hold Patrick Watkins' hand in order to make sure he isn't on the field when he shouldn't be in the game? Perhaps, he should have been put in the doghouse or even cut, but Dallas is thin back there. Is it Phillips' fault that Chris Canty lost his battle with Chris Samuels that day and lost bad? Canty wasn't able to pull himself together that day. Is that on Wade Phillips? Canty knew he was getting beat that day. Do you think cussing him out would have helped? I don't. On top of that, Romo and Garrett forced the ball to Owens 18 or 19 times and kept the defense on the feild all day long.
Now, I understand the stance that Wade Phillips can influence the mood or psyche of the team. You all may very well be right. However, this team has some issues on offense. The penalties and turn overs have been very, very evident. How many times has the offense turned the ball over in its own territory this year? How many times has the kickoff coverage hurt this team? How many times has the defense given the offense field position, and the offense has done nothing with it. In fact, on several possessions, the offense has given the ball right back to the other team.
I didn't see this guy waiting for Jason Garrett, and I noticed the "Fire Jason Garrett" thread wasn't too busy.
Just my thoughts
