Hey you just chill out and and eat your milquetoast and mashed potatoes and we'll keep appreciating a guy with a passion for the Cowboys.

Don't have too much butter, Ingrid.

Exactly. When you're passionate about something, the best thing to do usually is scream about it as loud as you can like a great big ****ing 'tard. That way people know you're serious.

Arguments with my wife go like this. I shout abuse at her until I feel better, and it gives her the impetus she needs to execute better. Sometimes she just doesn't know I'm serious until I get up in her grill and blast her and call her names. It works for raising kids and in the workplace, too. I'm pretty sure my co-workers appreciate my passion.

'******' is French for 'passion,' right?

Quite possibly the dumbest post of the year.

Kids don't need to see adults acting like drunk buffoons.

Then don't take your kids to football games. Whether you like it or not, you're gonna be around 1, 2, maybe 6 drunk buffoons..

That's just how it is in ANY NFL stadium.

Gotta admit though, I felt bad for the kid sitting on his dads shoulder infront of him. I'd be pissed off if he was yelling into my kids ear like that.

Someone needs a good screaming at! If we were face to face, I'd blast you so hard you'd know that I really meant it and that I was unbelievably passionate. Other posters would admire it because I'm so serious about what I've got to say.

I get confused about when it's appropriate to shout insults and rant and when it just makes me look like a gouch. Sue me.

Whatever... just stop asking for autographs

I don't ask for autographs.

It's when ANYONE here, including you, think they have the true definition of what a REAL fan is is ridiculous.

So you don't like the fact that some here may think the dude was an idiot. I read in another post someone knows him and he acts the same way in a sports bar watching the game.

Sorry, just not what I would call an enjoyable 3 hours of my afternoon.

If it makes him look like a "gouch" (LOL) then that is on him... He wasn't drunk or cursing, just angry... taking things in persepective within those 3 hours of football (NOT LIFE), I believe that what he said was warrented. I mean, how else would you suggest that he let's them know how HE feels (doesn't matter if you agree with him or not)? Should he end them an e-mail or post in here? Should he not express HIS opinion directly to the people he intends to as to not to offend you? Should he had just kept his voice down while others are cheering and begging for autographs (most for $$$)... no one would have heard him, which sounds is what you wanted.

Listen, if YOU believe that he is acting like a fool it is YOUR opinion. I will tell you this fact though - If it wasn't for people like him & a bunch of others on here like myslef (lifeling fans of the Cowboys), these same players, coaches & owners would not be multi-millonares and no one would want their autographs... do people want your autograph because you are a manager for Walmart?

It's all opinions, fair enough and I agree... I never said any different, just giving my opinion of what a true fan is. Here'e the thing though, there are certian, basic FACTS that are associated with what a FAN is. It was me saying that he acts worse during a game at a local bar (and without drinking alcohol) but what we are talking about is this VIDEO... he expressed what most of you FANS felt during a game like that one.

Don't hate your feelings :)

I just watched those videos.

That was appalling. Truely classless and pathetic.

I hope whoever did that is proud of himself.

Cowboys fans are more embarrassing than the teams poor play recently.

The stadium this week has the potential to be filled with people like that, they are going to boo brad johnson from the minute he comes on the field and wade is going to get his this week.

No one will boo jerry though. I never understand that.

Truely a sad state of affairs.

They might, if I were the best manager Wal-Mart had ever seen. If I could schedule night-shifts and run a cash register like nobody's business.

I don't really have an issue with screatching and hollering in general. They guy was in a crowd and trying to make himself heard, so I get that. It might be amusing to some, but it's not something to admire necessarily.

It's also that the response is disproportional to the severity of the problem. It was a nasty blowout and very disappointing, but calling to fire the head coach at this point and insulting people generally doesn't solve problems. For all we know, the team could weather this rough patch, get healthy, and go on to meet expectations and win a Superbowl. If they do, maybe Wade Phillips and Dave Campo get to go to this guys workplace and scream for half an hour about how hysterical, knee-jerking fans who mess themselves at the first sign of adversity don't meet our high expectations for the bandwagon in these parts. I bet that doesn't happen, though.

Amen, brother. It's bad enough that the team's not playing well. The fan base collectively acting-a-fool and whining like a bunch of entitled nancies who are mad that their expectations aren't met is pathetic.

The fact that you pay money to see a sporting event doesn't mean that you're entitled to victories each week. Or that you've got a right to act like a toddler when what you want to happen doesn't happen.

This thread's awesomeness is second only to Idgit's location. Good stuff.

I liked the thought of this before the video came out. Now, not so much.

Hypothetical:

I'm the parent of one of the kids within his vicinity. I can:

1) Ask him to please stop yelling angrily because it is scaring my child (who asked me to take him there to see his football heroes)

2) Leave the immediate area to get my child away from the angry fan

3) Join him in his diatribe to a woefully pathetic performance

4) Shake my head in dissappointment that my child has to hear this angry outpouring of emotion, yet continue to stand there hoping for an autogragh from some millionairs that shouldn't have earned minimum wage on that day for that performance

Knowing myself, I probably would have taken my kid away from the scene, because lord knows I agreed with the ranting and would have joined him if it weren't for the kid with me.

Believe it or not- sometimes its the fan that voices his passion for a team that reminds a player, coach or team exactly what there is to be passionate about when they take the field. The Cowboys represent us, and if they do not they should not call themselves the Dallas Cowboys. In my heart of hearts, I believe that man's voice was heard, and echoed in the thoughts and subsequent actions of Wade and staff. We have every right as fans of the Cowboys to be terribly upset and frustrated with this group of players and coaches. Every one of them has left something on the field that only they know what was. A fan is a fan for a reason- he's not good enough to play. The Cowboys on the other hand ARE good enough to play football at the highest possible level. We expect their best, and should never accept less. Every down, every play, every game. 60 Mins of the best effort some of the best football players in the world can muster. No exceptions.

Every single one of these players I have ever heard interviewed snickers and rolls their eyes when the fans are brought up.

keith davis did that in the video I posted the other day. Roy williams hates the fans in Dallas......

Gee I wonder why?

Professional athletes dont want to listen to armchair quarterbacks tell them what to do...No matter how well or how poor they are playing.

Just like a movie director doesnt stand outside the studio taking suggestions on how to do his job, or a banker or an accountant etc...

there is a line. This man crossed it and in the process made himself look completely foolish.

I don't think it was a knee-jerk response. I (as well as others on here and obviously Cowboy Chris) see these ongoing problems for a while... since last season & playoffs, through preseason up to the present. Even when we started out the last season so well, there were a lot of these same glaring issues (Special Teams, front line pressure, DB pass coverage, etc); they just went under the radar because the Cowboys were pulling out wins.

I do agree that the way he acted is not something to admire but I know the way he felt (maybe because I was yelling "WAKE UP COWBOYS" as well) and I personally don't see a major problem in expressing that to the players & coaches in this kind of venue and situation when they are walking to the buses & you see them for 5 seconds.

We still are the fans that basically support ALL of them - owners, coaches & players alike - with multimillion dollar paydays. Not jealous, just facts.

Sometimes I shake my head at Cowboys fans
