I had no idea that some people thought that Patrick Crayton slowed down on his route, which could have been the game winning catch.

I only saw the play once, and I thought the ball was overthrown. Youtube is blocked here and I can't see the video from work.

Also, has Patrick Crayton said anything or been asked about this?

Clear as bell when they show the play from start to finish with the camera on Crayton. He slowed in his route as Romo threw the ball and he couldn't catch back up to it. If he would have kept the fly route on, he would have been in the end zone to make the catch.

Yes, but moreso I think he thought Romo wasnt throwing him the ball. Guys who talk **** who are not that good seem to have it always thrown back in their face. Crayton today, Smith form Pittsburgh, etc. TEEO is the only one who can talk **** to the other teams from now on.

At the nine yard line he stops and turns around to look back like maybe he thinks the ball is going to go somewhere else.

have mercy.

Here's a rule:

Mr. Crayton, the next word you say next season will be your last as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

Doesnt matter, there is no excuse for not finishing the play on 3rd and 11 in the 4th quarter and a playoff game on the line. That pretty much ended the game, he was wide open if he keeps running.

The one he dropped was worse than that.

In a playoff game they are all important. That screwup was a game winning TD.

He was not the primary receiver, so he gave up on the play, not thinking the ball was coming his way. Big mistake.

A more important question to ask is, with Glenn and Owens on the field, why in the world did we throw the ball to Crayton so d@mn much. Were Glenn and Owens that bad off?

You bet your arse he did. He quit like a dog on that route. It was a perfect pass too. It was 6pts.

Nothing make me more sick than seeing a player give up on a play.

This has been a constant criticism for Patrick Crayton. He gives up on routes. Or he doesn't attack the ball.

Perhaps this is what Bill was talking about when he said you have to constantly be on his ***. It's just upsetting that he'd half-*** a route in a playoff game.

Yeah, I think I may go home for the break and re-watch that play.

When I watched in real time last night, it just seemed like it was overthrown.

Sucks if true :eek:: .

It is very true. The lazy *** just about comes to stop. He needs to be the man that the media blames.... Not TO, or Romo...

If you're gonna half-*** it, at least half-*** it in the 4th quarter of a playoff game.

Not a route where you've beaten the DB and just need to keep running to catch a great looking pass from Tony.

This is the problem. He was confused, as he'd never done this before.

Ive said it on almost every other thread concerning Patrick Crayton, but it still holds true. Crayton owes every single fan, eversingle teammate, and every single coach a personal apology. Until I get that I hope he never plays another game in a Cowboy's uniform, if that means he screws up his knee next pre-season, then so be it. I don't want that quiting punk on the field when we are playing.
