I'm rooting for Henson, but I just have this gut feeling its not going to pan out. But thats just my gut, it has mixed feelings. I watched the game live and then again on the replay.

I really do not care what throwing motion he uses, because it just seems to be moot right now, he seems to be accurate in all styles minus the deep balls and it might make him less predictable. No body has to have a perfect motion.

Yes he needs some work on his deep balls, but I hope that will come with time.

Yes he does need a little more touch on the short balls, seems to fire them in there a little to much.

His pocket presence seems very good, and his mobility seems very good, and also is becoming very accurate on middle routes.

And please no one by into stats in this league, they don't even tell half the story, because of time rules and only playing so many quarters.

But all in all, Henson still has some mileage to go, but I'll grade his performance from 7-8, not stellar but very efficient.

You forgot about the short touch passes. Several in the redzone were much too far off target. So let's get this straight. From 3 weeks in the NFLE we have determine that he needs work on his deep passes, his short dump passes, and his short to medium touch passes. Good thing he has good pocket presence.

Honestly, the stats weren't great from that game, but Henson looked very sharp. Other than a couple throwaways, everything was catchable and that pass to Zuriel in-stride was perfect. I was impressed with his pocket presence most of all, especially considering that left tackle was total crap. He kept whiffing on his man left and right, but Henson just got rid of the ball too quick.

I can't wait for the battle in camp; hopefully Henson going to NFLE will light a fire under Romo and we can see a glimpse of a possible future in one of these young bucks.

This is true. Hopefully he can get it. The problem is that he looks a lot like a junior prospect in college to me, than a 3rd year NFL QB.

You do realize that QBs have to throw in a window and get rid of it quick so the linemen don't bat the ball for an int. Besides, those 'awful' throws will be caught 99% of the time by legit receivers.

That excuse cuts both ways. A couple of those slants would have probably been defended by NFL CBs. They're not going to just stand behind the tight end waiting to tackle him after he catches it.
