VIDEO: Floz Adams... terrible game...

That was all footwork problems. Everytime Spicer went wide Flo's feet were in the wrong place. He didn't have any leverage. Hopefully he will fix those problems this week....

Looks like there are 2 plays whre flozell did well but a blitz stopped the play.......don't really know what you could do there.

the last play that was an INT had nothing to do with flo, you are right. but in almost every play spicer was getting the best of flo even if bledose got the pass off in time, it still was obvious that spicer owned him.

Spicer "owned" him on what, five plays? Six plays? Adams had a handful of bad plays -- too many, of course -- but he still played better than either of our tackles last season did in most games. Adams had a bad game, but many tackles have played far worse.

Why doesn't DB step up in the pocket to avoid these ends running around tackles?

Spicer owned Flozell probably not even on that much. And the sack came in the last drive.

After I initially saw the game, I was pretty down on Flozell's play, but thought that Spicer's play didn't have a huge impact on the game. When I charted the game last night, Flozell's play was much better than I originally thought. He still had too many poor plays and somebody like Umenyiora will probably eat him alive, but he doesn't deserve to have his head served on a platter.

Plus, when I charted the game, Bledsoe was god awful and made a ton of bad decisions. If Bledsoe plays an average game, we probably win the game handily and the plays that Flozell played poorly probably never occur.

He did on occasion. On his second INT Stroud got upfield but was blocked past Bledsoe. Bledsoe started to run and then threw the ball on the run and it was picked off by Griesen. But, if Bledsoe would have just stepped up a couple of paces, he had plenty of time and a great pocket to throw in. Instead, he rushed his throw to Glenn for really no reason and it was picked off.

Looks like he wasn't fully recovered from that strained leg muscle.

I think that is the main weakness in Bledsoe. He doesn't understand his pocket very well. He doesn't know which OL is having trouble against a particular DL and try to move a little away from them or slide in a way that gives him more time. He just drops back 7 steps and looking downfield all the time. JMO

Problem is on that Interception Stroud made some penetration, but he was blocked pretty well by Rivera, so Rivera didn't have problems with him. My guess is that when Bledsoe stepped up in the pocket, he thought there was going to be somebody there to sack him. But in reality he had a great pocket and lots of time to throw.

I agree. He is kind of hurrying his throws as if he is going to be hit by somebody right after the throw when in reality, he could have hold the ball a little longer (may be he is trying not to do that) and make better decisions

Its obvious from the video that Adams is not putting full pressure on that left leg. I am not sure if its the calf injury or his knee. Does anyone remember which knee was operated on and which calf was injured. That will point us in right direction but its clear that left leg is maybe only 75% functional.

All of the plays have something to do with Adams.

He is either committing a penalty, giving up a sack, missing a block, or just taking the play off.

hence the Adams low light clip....its about him:rolleyes:

yea he played awful. i daresay we woulda won if he had been even competent

How about if Bledsoe had been competent?

others can quibble about your editing but i got your point. flozell does not have a good base right now. he gets little if any push off his left leg - he looks like he's dragging it around with him.

definitely not encouraging.

he made spicer look like reggie white.

looked like he couldn't plant his foot. not good.
