As one of his long-time defenders I couldn't believe when he said he was trying to scam out of the drill. And then to see what happened...wow.

What. A. Waste. As someone else said, I thought we had the next Ronnie Lott...feared, knocking people out of games and out of their minds. Then...

My consolation is he's not here anymore, because ANY defender who is trying to duck out of a contact drill that's about want to and attitude has no place on the defense of my Cowboys.

I dont usually jump into these Roy Williams discussions but that was pathetic. Form the effort he gave to his attitude about it. Lets face it people, if he was a rookie and put up that kind of showing he would be fighting to keep a roster a spot right now.

Still in shock that this guy used to be one of the most feared hitters in the NFL.

Is anyone outside of Ohio even watching Hard Knocks this year?

I watched it and I enjoyed it, I hate Tank Johnson but I always have liked Roy the person.

That video is a tad misleading, that was the second time around(at least) and the impression I got was the last 10 guys that did it were called back to do it because they did so well the first time.

it's pretty sad to have an agenda against a guy that isn't even on the team anymore.

keyshawn,

Key played with some heart when he was on the boys. Remeber him laying of the safety during the Eagles game, and the one hand catch in the Giants game. Sure his speed held his productivity at that point in his career, but he put in more effort then 80% of the players on the team last year.

What a flippin stupid post. Some of the most feared men in the NFL are religious.

I agree religion did not ruin Roy's game. Look at Reggie White? I think Roy lost his edge when he got paid his second contract. He simply got fat and lazy.

I think he came out of college juiced up and it eventually wore off.

Nobody goes from being Demarcus Ware like to Captain average in their prime like he did.

Thank you. Find me a Hall of Fame speech without references to faith as a driving force behind greatness.

In my opinion I don't see the point of this thread other than to pile on. Even the best players get knock on their butt, even by a rookie. That is just the nature of football.

Very true statement.

NOTE: DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A RELIGIOUS ARGUMENT!

Lost the edge once he started preaching...What happened to that killer instinct? Mr.38 jumping over the oline and sacking the Qb? MR Rookie comming out on fire INT for a TD against the Commanders?

Go preach that bible in Cinci...Softy.

What an incredibly dumb statement. Everytime I hear that as a reason it becomes even more so than the first time it was said.

Someone better tell Reggie Whites family that there is no way he actually had all those sacks. No way he could have. Way to religious a dude for him to have been able to play football.

Or any other football player who is religious and still, somehow, manages to play the game of football.

How ignorant.

Being religious, finding religion, all of that does NOT keep a player from being able to play football and play it well.

Without question. I am religious but I'd still knock a persons lights out, given the chance, on a football field. It's without a doubt the most ignorant excuse I've ever seen used for Roy.

WHO in the hell said being religious doesnt allow you to play Football?

You and these other guys that are mad are putting every religious person into this. like I said They cannot function or play Football while being religious.

My point was very simple, not very hard to understand or get twisted. TO ME, ROY WILIIAMS lost his edge once he started preaching!. I noticed He got soft right about the time He started preaching and preaching and preaching. He didnt even hit hard. He WAS SOFTER THEN HUGGIES DIAPERS.
