Is Miles Austin going to be resigned? What does this team think of Sam Hurd? Is T.O. coming back? Isaiah Stanback?

There are not a lot of questions about the WR spot on this team right now, but there could be soon.

Quan Cosby is a guy who is going to be looked at as a very good slot WR once he gets into the NFL and he's already in Texas...

Right now he's slotted as a 3rd or 4th rounder by NFLDraftsScout.com, but he could get up into the 2nd round if he has a good showing at the combine.

Watching the interview you have to be impressed with his maturity and this team needs more guys like that on this roster.

He's coming in at 26 years old which may be a detriment to some teams, but I can't see that scaring the Cowboys from showing interest in him prior to the draft.

And lastly I know people are going to sigh when I say this.

But...

He kind of reminds me of Wes Welker with his short choppy quick running style.

Plus the kid blocks...

I don't know what he'll run in the 40, but ON THE FIELD he seems a bit slow footed. He is a well polished WR though.

I like the way he plays (I said last year that he was better then Sweed) but I don't think he'd make our top 4. Maybe bring him in to compete with Hurd for #5.

Yes. Not much. Yes. Not much.

He played QB in HS, and was easily the best HS player I've ever seen in person.

He's put on quite a bit of weight since those days, so he does seem more sluggish than back then.

i really like Cosby. Watching him play a lot what i like most is how great he runs his routes. He isnt the fastest guy but he runs great routes and is great at positioning his body in the right position for any type of throw. i would love for us to draft him but well like someone said right now he would be at best our #5 receiver. Cosby is gonna be a player though for some team!

Cosby will be a solid slot WR. He has slowed over the past few seasons as he has bulked up, but he runs good routes and catches everything that comes his way. He knows how to use his body to shield off defenders and always seems to make all the catches in traffic. Plus he fights for every yard he can get.

He would probably be our #5 WR behind TO, Roy11, Crayton, and Austin.

He is going to be excusively a slot receiver in the NFL, he is too dam slow to play on the boundry. He would never get any seperation against NFL caliber CBs.

With that being said, if he is there in the 4th round I might just take a look at him, 3rd round is too early for a #5 WR.

I like Cosby, the kid runs good routs and has excellent hands. I don't know if Dallas will be in a position to pick him up later in the draft but should he slide he would be a good pickup

Seems like a poor reason. I don't think he is Wes Welker I think he is Quan Cosby a kid who has some very good talent.

every season/offseason we have some nugget people refuse to let go of (MCFADDEN!) and last year it was not just mcfadden, but amendola where people went apecaca over the kid and he was going to be the next welker.

which if funny cause welker had a good year but not a great career. people seem to look at the very last thing done and pretend it's the only thing done. if he does come along great. i hope he is a good talent and does well for us. but if people can't get off their dead horses i've proven to myself i can take my own vacations from the droning of it all.

I agree I think many go over board and the comparison of a rookie to an established vet is foolish. I like Cosby and would love to get him but I would not reach for him in the draft, if by chance he slides in the draft and we are in a position to get him then great if not then so be it

He could work well in a similar role to what Steve Smith had for the Giants before Plax went ******** i can't see him ever being a #1 or 2 though he's kinda small and not very fast

I wouldn't be against it at all. I always think, is this a guy the Patriots would like? And the answer here IMO is yes. They almost always emphasize intelligence and maturity, and this guy seems to have that.

Unless he runs unexpectedly fast, I bet he's no higher than a 4th rounder, and there's a good chance he doesn't even go that high. The age and lack of athleticism will hurt him a lot.

Texas has him listed at 5'11" 200lbs and runs a 4.4 40 which Cosby has said he feels he can improve on. Cosby showing at the combines will be important for him.

So in truth, he's 5-9, 194 and runs a 4.51. ;)

He doesn't even look as fast as Shipley to me, though he's quicker.

:laugh2: As I said all these measurement will take place in Indy and Cosby showing will either help him in the draft or hurt him. He talked about how he bulked up this past off-season and was able to maintain his 4.4 speed is he just pulling our leg or not?

Reminds me of Kevin Faulk from NE. They play different positions, but size wise and being clutch and all reminds me of him. Maybe he can be the next Preston Pearson.
